Summer crafternoon | theunfinishedcrafter

https://theunfinishedcrafter.wordpress.com/2015/07/28/summer-crafternoon

A chronic sufferer of 'new-project-itis', I'm hoping this inspires me to finish some of my unfinished projects. Apologies for my quietness of late. I’ve not had much to report as I’ve been busy beavering away on my friend’s wedding bunting, which hasn’t left time for anything else crafty! But, the end is in sight. Sort of. Maddy made some bracelets. Look at all her lovely beads! Lucy worked on a Pocahontas cross stitch, a birthday present for a friend. And can you guess what I did? At last count, I had a...

Confessions of a novice knitter | theunfinishedcrafter

https://theunfinishedcrafter.wordpress.com/2015/06/10/confessions-of-a-novice-knitter

A chronic sufferer of 'new-project-itis', I'm hoping this inspires me to finish some of my unfinished projects. Confessions of a novice knitter. I’ve knitted a fair few items over the years: baby blankets, baby hats and booties. But, I have a confession: Never before have I knitted a tension square. The closest I’ve got is getting started and taking a tape measure to my casting on, thinking ‘that’s OK’ and carrying on. Shame on me. I’m currently holidaying in South Devon (next week, Cornwall! So, back to...

A chronic sufferer of 'new-project-itis', I'm hoping this inspires me to finish some of my unfinished projects. Lion on the loose. Spotted in a Hampshire garden, a lion at large! Meet Larry the Lion. He’s a Funky Friends pattern I’ve used to create a memory animal from babygros as a keepsake for a friend’s son’s forthcoming first birthday. I hit a few obstacles along the way:. I’m pretty pleased with how he turned out. This is the third cardigan I’ve knitted for my friend’s baby girl: Willow&...Which I s...

Since I’ve been gone | theunfinishedcrafter

https://theunfinishedcrafter.wordpress.com/2015/07/03/since-ive-been-gone

A chronic sufferer of 'new-project-itis', I'm hoping this inspires me to finish some of my unfinished projects. Since I’ve been gone. Long time no blog! I managed to get a little knitting done on the garter stitch cardigan I’d started on. I soon ground to a halt though, bamboozled by the pattern instructions for shaping the armholes of the back of the cardigan. Thank god for the Internet! Do you remember Betsy the ballerina, the rag doll I made for a friend’s little girl? Confessions of a novice knitter.

Cross Stitch: Pattern Marking – Floss, Hoop & Love

https://fhlstitching.com/2015/04/08/cross-stitch-pattern-marking

Floss, Hoop and Love. A cross stitch and hand embroidery blog. Cross Stitch: Pattern Marking. April 8, 2015. April 9, 2015. Lately I’ve been stitching Heart of Christmas. Very bright, easy to see – I have pink, but they come in other colors as well. The tip makes it easy to mark in small areas – even individual stitches on a pattern or to draw a fine line to mark a backstitch or outline a section. It is erasable, so if you make a mistake in your marking, you can correct it. WIP: Heart of Christmas Update.

My life as a mom, crafter, and other sillyness. July 20, 2015. Weekly Craft Update – July 20, 2015. So, I missed an update last week… Things have been getting busier and busier as we get through summer. I’m busy, the kids are busy, my darling hubby is crazy busy at work. Plus trying to de clutter the house and heal from a minor procedure I had done. Picture for this week, of the fairy…. Little more work on her face, as well as the wings and background. Keep smiling, stay cool and happy crafting! You are ...

Baking, Making, and Crafting. You can’t have a party without Party Rings. May 11, 2015. Middot; by Lindsay. Middot; in bakings. Middot; 2 Comments. This afternoon I had a little baking session. This little baking and decorating session was inspired by a quick little cross stitch project I completed this week. This was from the June 2013 issue of CrossStitcher Magazine, bookmarked (literally) for (2) years and not yet tackled! Key things when trying to recreate such a thing are:. 1 cup (2 sticks/225g) uns...

Where have I been? December 12, 2014. Where have I been? The Little Red Beach House. Where have I been? I’ve also started another blanket (hmmm, do I hear you say ‘startitis’? For a friend with a baby due in March. I’m really enjoying this one. This photo is a bit rubbish – it seems to be perpetually dark at this time of year – it looks much nicer in the flesh. I’m not sure if the recipients are really crochet type of people, but I hope they like it. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

Tying the Knot – Ambrosia Stitches

August 17, 2015. On Saturday my little sister got married. On. I finally finished the project I had been working on to mark the occasion. Clearly I still continue to cultivate remarkable procrastination skills! I did enjoy working on these two hoops. When I work on these negative space pieces, I love how the shape emerges as the French knots gather and multiply. However, I really liked the concept and I think I will use the idea or a variation on it again. 13 thoughts on “ Tying the Knot. Oh I love these!
