The rainy autumn day called for some baking. The ingredients were in the pantry. The recipients were across town. The recipe is here:. 4 cups apples, sliced. 3/4 cup packed brown sugar. 1/2 cup all purpose flour. 1/2 cup oats (regular or quick). 1/3 cup butter, softened. Spread apples in a greased 8 inch square pan. But I totally forgot.
