We are Jones-in!: October 2011
http://we-are-jones-in.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 22, 2011. Had we known then what we know now, we would have named him Linus. He is only two for such a short while. Someday he will be too old to carry around a soft blue blanket and too big to suck his thumb. I might cry when my lover muffin realizes he is too grown up for those things.he might realize he is too grown up for me. Links to this post. Thursday, October 20, 2011. I act-in cay zee. Saturday, September 29, 2012. Halloween Wreath - Under $10 and 10 minutes. I often go to pinterest and just pin stuff for 'later.' It's always later because with 3 kids, a big house, and a busy job, I never have time 'now.' Well, I was in Target getting things for Winter's schooling, when I saw this grapevine wreath. I remembered pinning this. 250 grapevine wreath from Target. 3 can of spray paint from Home Depot. I just spray painted the front and sides and let dry for 2 minutes. For a total of $9.5...

Friday, March 2, 2012. My Baby Boy and Me. It's 3 am, they're all asleep,. And no-one's here to see. As we rock slowly back and forth,. My baby boy and me. His little hand is feather light. Tucked up against my chin. I hold his tiny hand in mine,. And stroke his baby skin. The house about us creaks and groans,. The clock hands creep around. He snuggles closer to me still,. And makes his baby sounds. I love these quiet hours so much,. And cherish every one. Store memories up inside my heart.

Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Today at the hospital, I over heard one of the nurses talking about an elementary school, in Centerville, that is having a lottery for the students in its Chinese Immersion Program. Chinese Immersion? Today was the deadline to apply for the lottery. I went straight to the school and made sure Winter was entered into the lottery. Chinese Immersion? Do I want her in Chinese Immersion? Was the resounding confirmation from all the moms in the room. But how do I help her succeed?

We are Jones-in!: November 2011

Wednesday, November 23, 2011. The saddest face in the world. Two months old already. At his well child check-up he was 12.2 lbs. And 23.75 inches. That means he has gained more than 4 lbs and grown more than 4 inches! As you can see from the above photo, he has a very expressive face. He is now smiling and 'communicating' with us in a wonderfully interactive manner. I coo, he coos, I smile, he smiles, I pretend to cry, he bursts into tears, I smile, he looks confused.
