Things I Make and Find: April 2015

http://thingsimakeandfind.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Things I Make and Find. Wednesday, April 22, 2015. And now, for some hand drawn flowers. When trying to think of the perfect holiday present, I came up with an idea for a new book arts project. My love for old things, 18th and 19th century botanical drawings, flora, and books decided to tie themselves together for this one. You have probably already seen my post about P is for Plants. Links to this post. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. These flower images have a different purpose from my other flowers pictures.

Because I am someone that likes, or maybe 'needs' is the correct word, to be busy, when things slow down between work, teaching, and the little business. I've been known to pick up a bit of freelance work. In addition to a couple of custom French linkstitch bindings, I've had the pleasure to also bind a couple final projects for local art students. Two French linkstitch journals made upon request for a client. Links to this post.

Things I Make and Find: July 2014

http://thingsimakeandfind.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html

Things I Make and Find. Friday, July 25, 2014. I have always been drawn to plants and flowers. I am sure there are a million reasons why, from my childhood love of climbing trees to read books among the branches, to my high school education at an agricultural school. I like it better here where I can just sit quietly and smell the flowers. Bloom where you're planted. We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses. Every flower must grow through dirt. Two Mail ...
