At the 2016 Taiwanese Canadian Association (TCA) annual convention in Gravenhurst Ontario June 28-30, on the motion of the Taiwanese Human Rights Association of Canada (THRAC), TCA members passed a resolution urging Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen to grant an unconditional Presidential pardon to former President Chen Shui-bian. Thursday, August 28, 2014. THRAC and ATOT oppose Confucius Institute in Toronto schools. On a August 23rd THRAC executive meeting, THRAC voted to request that the Association of Taiwanese Organizations in Toronto (which includes THRAC) send an urgent letter to the Toronto District School Board to vote to end the contract with the Confucius Institute. Wednesday, August 05, 2015. 2015 Annual General Meeting News. THRAC 2015 Annual Meeting was held at Taiwanese United Church in Toronto on June 20. About 20 members attended, along with Sheng Xue (盛雪) from the Federation for a Democratic China (中國民主聯盟主席) and Jamyang Tenzin, from Students for a Free Tibet. Rev.
