Suggest a Think Kit prompt | a blogging project by SmallBox

http://www.thinkkit.org/suggest-a-prompt

Earn Think Kit Fame:. In the beginning, we wrote all of our own prompts. But whats the fun in that? We have a pretty talented and awesome pool of writers, so we decided we should crowdsource some prompts too! So, tell us, what do you think would make a great Think Kit prompt? If we use your idea, well give you a heads up before sharing it and give credit to you online as well. My Think Kit prompt idea: *. Goodbye, Think Kit. The end of a wonderful run: bit.ly/1NCFL7n. 2006 - 2016 SmallBox.

Think Kit | a blogging project by SmallBox

http://www.thinkkit.org/thinkkit/2011

The inaugural Think Kit came to be in a flurry of last minute activity. Sara and Lydia had participated in a project by Gwen Bell called Reverb. This series of writing prompts, delivered each day in December, focused on reflecting on the year behind and planning for the year ahead. Bell announced that the project needed to come to an end, but others should run with their own version. We (of course) asked our CEO Jeb, Is it cool if we do this? Think Kit: One Word. December 31, 2011. Think Kit: No Obstacles.

FAQ

Is Think Kit happening again? Unfortunately, in 2016 we decided to archive this project. The prompt history will still be live on this site – feel free to use them on your own! How do I get the prompts? If you submitted a form with your email, youll get a daily prompt in the wee hours of the morning each day in January. Alternatively, we publish the daily prompt to the site each morning. What happens if I dont post every day? How often will you email me? Expect a daily email during January! On Twitter, F...

8220;Find your place of peace. Imagine yourself on a beach, or in a forest…”. The teacher didn’t want to get too prescriptive, to let us each find our place. But for those that might be lost, she offered generics. I lay on the mat, eyes closed. I couldn’t tell you how to get there, except in your mind. Imagine greens of all shades. Imagine sun spots dancing on water. Imagine you’ve been in the chaos of a city, then dropped straight into the very definition of tranquility. This post is part of Think Kit.

Time to Run | jlodo

https://jlodo.wordpress.com/2014/12/02/time-to-run

December 2, 2014. In 2014, it was time to run. Run with a new job. Run with a marriage to the love of my life. And, literally just run. It was March and we were emerging from the great polar vortex. My wife (at the time fiancée) looked at me and asked, “I have cabin fever…how ’bout a run? 1 mile turned in to 2 miles. 2 miles to 3. 3 to 5. 5 to 10. 10 to 13.1! Also, I have decided to run with something new. Writing. I joined Think Kit. From SmallBox to challenge myself to write outside of work and use my ...

Be Vulnerable. | jlodo

https://jlodo.wordpress.com/2014/12/07/be-vulnerable

December 7, 2014. Susceptible to physical or emotional attack or harm. Sounds scary, doesn’t it? Frankly, it is. However, where there is fear and risk there is reward. Vulnerability has been a topic of discussion in my house over the past year, maybe two years. My wife and I discuss it, I’ve watched Brené Brown’s Ted Talk. Brené Brown suggests three ways to let yourself be vulnerable and truly seen:. Love with your whole heart. Practice gratitude, lean into joy. Believe you’re enough. Can you distill the...

Sorting Time | Jackie Lutzke

https://jackielutzke.com/2014/12/10/sorting-time

I count on the end of each year as my moment for self-reconciliation, my opportunity to think through the year gone by and decide what it all means. Me, the bookkeeper AND the books, settled in at an imagined table to see how I did this year, my life a one-woman business of sorts. And I am– ordinarily. 8211;oh so good at taking the disparate bits of A Year of Life and saying,. Last year during Think Kit. Today’s prompt asks,. What are you looking forward to in 2015? Air max 90 pas cher. Air max pas cher. Nike tn pas cher. Nike tn pas cher. It's a website about a person for whom the website is named. That's vanity. A Wand for a Sandwich. Among the many wonderful elements of Think Kit. Is the transition from the practical to the adorably ridiculous. To wit:. Wave your magic wand. What would you transform, create, or make disappear in 2015? Oh…this wand will self-destruct after a single use, so choose wisely! Aside, I’ve been thinking a great deal about why we. I think...

photography – sara mcguyer

http://www.saramcguyer.com/category/photography

As I was cropping and editing photos for our holiday card, a strange thing went down. Photoshop started freaking out. Every time I tried to do anything within the app, the photo re-mixed into new psychedelic arrangements. Sometimes it would be an extreme closeup of me. The next time, the dog. Back to me. Then Louie. Always with the bright colors, repeating boxes, wiggly lines. Was an alien trying to transmit messages via my Photoshop? Had I stumbled onto a secret door to an unknown universe? Amidst the i...

You put your right foot in…. Dozens of times I’ve sung along, busted those moves. I’ve done the hokey pokey on roller skates, under spinning bedazzled lights. If called upon to do so, though I’ve never tried, I could do it with my eyes closed or in my sleep. But when I stood, feet planted right in front of this step map of pokey moves, it was like I sprouted two left feet. I made the moves in the wrong order, couldn’t quite toe into the brass footprint. Dancingeveryday please and thank you. Our friends J...

Do these shoes match this purse?: December 2013

http://maggieosullivan.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

Do these shoes match this purse? Christopher Moore, Fool. Friday, December 27, 2013. Think Kit 27: Stand out places. Day 27: What place (event, celebration, etc.) stood out for you this year? What did it look like? How did it inspire you? I went on a week long vacation with my friend Photographer this summer, to Florida, to spend a week in her parents condo. I blogged about it several times this year so here are the links. It was relaxing and peaceful and so much fun! Moon on the ocean. And the topic is:.
