Savvy Vegan: Lavender-Rosemary Scrub
http://vegnewssavvyvegan.blogspot.com/2010/06/lavender-rosemary-scrub.html
Thursday, June 3, 2010. Um, how is it June already? Now that she's a few thousand miles away, it's time to do the grown-up thing and make my own. Guess what? It's easy, cheaper than buying those insane $45 magical scrubs, and, of course, totally customizable. (While this recipe calls for a nice rosemary-lavender-lemon combo, follow your nose with any herbs and essential oils you prefer.). A little goes a long way. Mom's Ultimate Lavender-Rosemary Scrub. 1 cup sea salt. 1 cup raw sugar. In an airtight jar...

VegNews Book Club
http://vegnewsbookclub.blogspot.com/2011/06/gist-good-afternoon-vegnews-book_13.html
Monday, June 13, 2011. Good afternoon VegNews Book Clubbers! We are in the third week of our discussion of Fear of the Animal Planet. By Jason Hribal. Another short read for this week, but I don't mind too much. It's been incredibly nice, now that we're in the midst of summer, and it's great to not worry about too much reading. The stories about the monkeys used to make films deeply saddened me, specifically the story about the chimpanzees used in the film Project X. For our discussion on Monday, June 20.

Vegan In Arkansas: Everything-but-the-Kitchen-Sink Vegetable Soup
http://veganinarkansas.blogspot.com/2012/01/everything-but-kitchen-sink-vegetable.html
Monday, January 23, 2012. But yesterday, I threw caution to the wind and made a huge pot of vegetable soup sans recipe. I know vegetable soup is probably the easiest thing ever to make, but it felt liberating to pick ingredients out of the cabinets and fridge and spices off the rack without a guide telling me precisely what I needed. 1 medium onion, chopped. 2 carrots, sliced. 2 giant cloves of garlic, minced. Half head of cabbage, chopped. 1 32 oz. carton of vegetable broth. Juice of 1 lemon. Toss half ...

Vegan In Arkansas: March 2012
http://veganinarkansas.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 17, 2012. I honestly did not intend to take a month long hiatus from the blogging world. Sorry guys! Life has been busy and good and we've been doing lots of fun things, but for whatever reason, I wasn't inclined or motivated to blog about it. And even though I would like to be consistent, I also never want this blog to feel like a chore. We have not been very diligent in photographing our meals over the past month, but we did snap a few, so here are a couple of meals we enjoyed. It's one...

Vegan In Arkansas: No Football, but Lots of Food and Fun!
http://veganinarkansas.blogspot.com/2012/02/no-football-but-lots-of-food-and-fun.html
Tuesday, February 7, 2012. No Football, but Lots of Food and Fun! Our friend Joel joined us for the evening, so there was still plenty of fun, gameday food to be consumed! Since our entertainment for the evening wasn't working out, we scrolled through Netflix and decided to check out a Comedy Central show called Workaholics. Funny funny stuff. It's pretty crass, gross humor, so if that's not your thing, I don't recommend it.but we laughed our butts off! Next up was this awesome Kraut Baked Spinach Dip.
