Lemon, capers and butter – This thing called wife
https://thisthingcalledwife.wordpress.com/2016/09/17/lemon-capers-and-butter
This thing called wife. Food – Books – Balcony Garden – Lifestyle. September 17, 2016. Lemon, capers and butter. I never really tried capers until earlier this year, believe it or not, but now I’m head over heels for it. Anything with capers I’ll choose on the menu, I’ve never eaten smoked salmon so frequently in my life. So when I came across this Food52 recipe for a Classic Chicken Piccata. 2 thoughts on “ Lemon, capers and butter. September 19, 2016 at 1:22 am. September 19, 2016 at 4:05 am.

Nursery Haul – This thing called wife
https://thisthingcalledwife.wordpress.com/2016/09/20/nursery-haul
This thing called wife. Food – Books – Balcony Garden – Lifestyle. September 20, 2016. September 20, 2016. Snobbery instantly turns me off. I don’t know if this is with all people, but I really can’t handle it. They sell beautiful homewares too. I’m really lucky to have an amazing nursery not far from where I live called Eden Gardens. Look who was among the Lavender! Spent $46.36. Now we’re up to $87.82… Indira this isn’t looking good! Dreaming of a backyard…. Should I use a separate container? 8221; to ...

Holiday souvenirs | THE BALCONY DRESSER
https://thebalconydresser.wordpress.com/2016/10/20/holiday-souvenirs
No space is too small to enjoy the pleasure of homegrown somethings sometimes. But sometimes it works, too. This succulent (agave, aloe? Is indeed a souvenir from a vacation in Italy and it grows quite well outdoors in summer and indoors during other times. The pot, in which it grows, also is a holiday souvenir. I got it in Mexico and was happy to see that the plant fitted inside. If you are looking for more inspiration on how to grow plants from hot or arid regions, go to Urban Jungle Bloggers.

Ripening indoors (once again) | THE BALCONY DRESSER
https://thebalconydresser.wordpress.com/2016/11/17/ripening-indoors-once-again
No space is too small to enjoy the pleasure of homegrown somethings sometimes. Ripening indoors (once again). Outside temperatures have reached a point that is too low for warmth-loving plants. This chili pepper. Is one of them and has therefore been moved inside already about three weeks ago. It seems that it finally got acclimatized to the apartment air and starts the ripening process now. Indeed, something beautiful to look at no matter where it takes place. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Autumn crocuses | THE BALCONY DRESSER
https://thebalconydresser.wordpress.com/2016/09/25/autumn-crocuses/comment-page-1
No space is too small to enjoy the pleasure of homegrown somethings sometimes. Yesterday’s hike took us through meadows brimming with autumn crocuses. It is so nice to think that the growing season starts and ends with the same type of plant. Also it’s great to be reminded that fall is a season with lots of fresh crops. Hay did not stop them from growing either. Here like on the first picture, this bee is probably happy to collect some more pollen before winter starts. 19/10/2016 at 5:27 pm.

No space is too small to enjoy the pleasure of homegrown somethings sometimes. Finally – yet too late? I grew this chili pepper plant from seeds this year, but then had to see it suffer from bugs. https://thebalconydresser.wordpress.com/2017/01
No space is too small to enjoy the pleasure of homegrown somethings sometimes. Month: January, 2017. And even if this garden is not being taken care of any longer (which I do not hope will happen), we can at least have our little share of a kitchen garden ourselves – in our gardens, on our balconies or even inside our kitchens. Snow on the street and some green preserved on the balcony. Here right now. Hello, first signs of spring! On Finally – yet too l…. Hello, first signs of spring!

New addition | THE BALCONY DRESSER
https://thebalconydresser.wordpress.com/2016/10/28/new-addition
No space is too small to enjoy the pleasure of homegrown somethings sometimes. When a quick internet search confirmed that fall is a good time to plant sedums outside, I did exactly that. So far it is sharing a pot with two parsnips. That I still need to harvest, but it should get more space soon. And maybe late summer next year, I will cut a flower from my own plant. So all that remains to say is: welcome, sedum! Make yourself at home! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

Pumpkins and squashes | THE BALCONY DRESSER
https://thebalconydresser.wordpress.com/2016/10/31/pumpkins-and-squashes
No space is too small to enjoy the pleasure of homegrown somethings sometimes. Unfortunately, I did not manage to grow any acorn squashes. On the balcony this season. Regular wind and heavy rain throughout the summer months were probably not exactly what the plant wanted. But luckily other pumpkin farmers were more successful. So on the occasion of halloween, here is a small squash and pumpkin collection. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public). Laquo; Previous Post.

A birch cloak | THE BALCONY DRESSER
https://thebalconydresser.wordpress.com/2016/11/24/a-birch-cloak
No space is too small to enjoy the pleasure of homegrown somethings sometimes. When it comes to dressing my plants, I tend to think that less is generally more. A good terracotta pot is what I usually turn to. But sometimes I get carried away. During a hike, I came across freshly felled birches with peeling bark and took off a piece. It was clean and flexible and I used it for flowerpots and lanterns. For more ideas on how to dress your flower pots, visit Urban Jungle Bloggers. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

This Thing Here | Words go here…or do they?
Words go here.or do they? On May 13, 2014. Putting the boring in virtual reality. The Oculus Rift, or as I prefer; Virtual Boy 2; seems to be getting a big push as of late…at least in print, I can’t name a single person I know who has actually brought it up at all. It’s virtual reality…really? Virtual reality is now being considered something that is jammed up against our eyes by a device tied around the head? Weird, cause it looks like there’s screens on those goggles that you ATTACH TO YER HEAD. I hope...
