Archive for July, 2007. Our second trip around Scotland distilleries took place during eleven days in July 2007. Of course we did more than distillery tours which I have written about below. My collection of Glencairn nosing and tasting glasses (GNTG) has now grown to a (fairly respectable) 15.🙂. Third time around in Scotland, and we sort of get a hang of the routine by now. Lot’s of driving. Lot’s of spectacular views. Lot’s of castles and ruins. And the odd visit to one distillery or, er, twelve? Most of the time spent was in the Highlands or Speyside with a weekend to finish of the trip in the Lowlands (Edinburgh). By now, I start to become a true collector of Glencairn nosing and tasting glasses (GNTG). GNTG, Glencairn water jug, tour. Just a quick stop on the way with a nice chat and tasting.

Finally time to visit the Swedish Whisky still Mackmyra. Located just outside Gävle a couple of hours drive north of Stockholm. Of course I left the place with four tasting glasses on high foot :-).
