While I had realized the style I enjoy listening to, as it relates to female artists; I still was struggling finding and Christian. I did some serious googling, and discovered two things:. 1) Apparently Christians artists don't really. Understand what indie music is, and additionally don't understand genres in general. Tal a...

http://thelongwinded.blogspot.com/2012/01/correction-huh-whats-that-god.html
Monday, January 16, 2012. For those of you who happened to actually READ the scriptures I talked about. I made a mistake. The ACTUAL scripture ion Matthew was chapter 24. Not 23. It was a typo. I'm sure some of you who read Matt.23 were actually thinking, "Huh? What does hypocrisy have to do with the temple? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Music of the Moment. Look Around My Blog. The Long Winded: July 2011
http://thelongwinded.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 5, 2011. Back To My Roots. Last friday, (7/1) I had my Pandora doing a quick mix of all my stations, and the Louis Armstrong station came on playing this song: Wrap Your Troubles In Dreams, by Preservation Hall H 4 with Duke Dejan. Seriously, I just really miss the South. There's something specially "romantic" (in the non-love sort of way) about the South. It is calling to me at the moment. Now gotta find me some sweet tea. The Long Winded: Huh? What's that God?
http://thelongwinded.blogspot.com/2012/01/huh-whats-that-god.html
Friday, January 13, 2012. So this morning I opened my Bible, and God told me "read Ezra 6:12". at least that's what I thought He said. -. You see. I haven't been very communicative with God lately. I mean, we talk a lot, and I suppose I meditate on Him and what he may be saying. but I haven't cracked my Bible since the last time I went to church. which was in Sept. I think]. Anyway, having not really. With God in a long while, I wasn't totally sure I was hearing Him at all. What's he trying to say?

The Long Winded: Shoe Bank
http://thelongwinded.blogspot.com/2011/02/shoe-bank.html
Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Any of you who read my blog consistently (when I actually write), know I mostly only write about 3 things - Music, God's work in my life, and charity work. This Post is no different. Sunday, I went out with Jerry Goodall (Wendy's boss) and Kirk, and we went and saw a movie (The Eagle), and then sat drinking coffee at Starbucks. Later, we went back to the Goodall's house to meet up with Wendy, Julie and Anita. That's basically a full months salary! It was cool to give the shoes...

The Long Winded: The Sing-Off
http://thelongwinded.blogspot.com/2010/12/sing-off.html
Tuesday, December 7, 2010. So, in true "metro" fashion, I am a lover of singing. specifically I love to sing. As well as listening to others. Especially. When it's great acapella! Last night, Wendy and I watched the newest season of "The Sing-Off" on NBC. I love this show, especially this year. Last season was OK, but this season has some real talent. There were a couple of major standouts, but all in all I got excited about all of the groups. On their site. Super cool! I meant to record this show.

http://gracemyfeetandfaithmyeyes.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 30, 2013. So this little man just got back from his 2 week check up and he did great. Even with the Hep B shot that made his face turn the same shade of red that mine did during labor. He also let out that silent scream, you know.the one that is followed by a very loud scream. Good times. Overall he is doing very well and is a growing little peanut. Weight: 8 lbs 8 oz - 50th % (birth weight was 7 lbs 13 oz). Height: 21 1/4" - 75th-85th % (birth height was 19 1/2"). Stella is hanging in ther...

My cousin and his family live here, and we're staying with them for a few days. Then we'll head up to Winston-Salem to visit my Grandmother, aunt, and other cousins. We rolled up at about 8pm, and had dinner and talked. It was fun. Currently, it's 11:50pm. At about 10:40 tonight, we said our good nights, and retired to our room. What kind of lousy luck it that? My fir...

Grace My Feet & Faith My Eyes: The First of Many
http://gracemyfeetandfaithmyeyes.blogspot.com/2013/07/the-first-of-many.html
Tuesday, July 30, 2013. The First of Many. We took Cohen to the beach for the first time a few weekends ago and it was awesome. Kirk plans on the beach being a big part of the little nuggets life since he loves it so much. Because Coe can't wear sunscreen until he is 4 months old, he pretty much chilled in his baby hut the whole time, but it was still a great time. All bundled up for the overcast day! His kickin' swim trunks. This kid was MELLOW in the baby hut! Lunch at the beach. The Husbro and Me.
