Thrifty and Crispy - Making the Switch

Thrifty and Crispy - Making the Switch. Tuesday, March 29, 2011. My breastfeeding attempt (and failure). I know this is a little late considering Keaton is now 16 months old but this discussion came up with some of my friends on Babycenter today. Typing out my story and sharing it seemed to lift a weight off of my shoulders, a weight that I didn't realize was there anymore, so I decided to share it here as well. Would you use donated milk? Sunday, May 23, 2010. 1 cup mashed strawberries. Heat the water a...

Thrifty and Crispy - Making the Switch. Sunday, March 21, 2010. I have always tried to shop sales and use coupons but I have never really been very dedicated to it because we always had enough money. When we decided that I would be a stay a home mom, I knew that things had to change. I needed to stick to a budget and make our dollars stretch as far as possible. Match coupons to sales. Don't buy something just because it is on sale. Shop only every two weeks, instead of every week. Keaton sleeps in a co-s...

Thrifty and Crispy - Making the Switch: Barbecued Roast Beef

http://www.thriftyandcrispy.blogspot.com/2010/05/barbecued-roast-beef.html

Thrifty and Crispy - Making the Switch. Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Another from "Fix-It and Forget-It.". 1 onion, chopped (I only use 1/2 an onion because we aren't huge onion fans). Place roast in cooker. In a small bowl, mix together all remaining ingredients except brown sugar and pour over roast. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours. Approximately 1 hours before serving sprinkle with brown sugar. I had everything for this at home! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Lakeland, Florida, United States.

Thrifty and Crispy - Making the Switch: Squash and Zucchini Casserole and farm trip

http://www.thriftyandcrispy.blogspot.com/2010/05/squash-and-zucchini-casserole-and-farm.html

Thrifty and Crispy - Making the Switch. Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Squash and Zucchini Casserole and farm trip. Yesterday my mom and I went to an organic farm to check out their produce selection. We ended up getting 35lb for $35! That is a good deal for regular produce, let alone organic! This picture was taken after we used 5 zucchini and 5 squash in the casserole. 1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 cup chopped onions. 1 1/2 teaspoons salt. 1 teaspoon minced garlic.

Michelle's Path Of Recipes. Tuesday, August 25, 2009. This recipe was as easy as could be and oh so yummy. I decided to make this because yesterday was the first of Kayla's WIC checks that we got THREE huge boxes of cheeries. Im hosting a Pampered Chef party this weekend and Im going to be making this along with a slew of other things. 1/2 cup peanut butter. Drop by tablespoo...

Michelle's Path Of Recipes. Thursday, April 30, 2009. This is another party or crowd pleaser. It cannot get any more simple to make and its cheap if you have to feed a crowd on a budget. It gives them something hot and filling to snack on at low cost. I have made this before although I dont have a picture of it. I think it tastes really great even though it sounds very weird. It has a flavor that your guests just cant figure out and leaves them wanting more! Posted by Stay at home cooking Mama. Mixed the...

Michelle's Path Of Recipes: Ingredient Substitutions

http://michellespathofrecipes.blogspot.com/2010/06/ingredient-substitutions.html

Michelle's Path Of Recipes. Thursday, June 10, 2010. So with my new diet and exercise I been looking at healthier meal alternatives. Today I decided to make chicken salad but was really highly against using mayo after reading the nutrition facts on the bottle. So, I had some people give me helpful ideas about what to replace the mayo with in the chicken salad. Some website sites suggested oil. Ugh. With chicken salad? My chicken salad turned out great. It will be lunch tomorrow too! TIP: It's generally r...

Michelle's Path Of Recipes. Sunday, March 29, 2009. So sorry I don't blog on here as much as I would like to. But last night I made a fantastic dinner! Lemon Pepper Chicken. I got this recipe from the back of the Lemon Pepper bottle. This was oh so good and so easy with little clean up! I WILL be making this again very soon! I cut the recipe in half since I only made 2 portions. 1 for myself and 1 for a fellow deployed's spouse pregnant on bed rest. This recipe calls for 4-ish chicken breasts. I got this...

Michelle's Path Of Recipes. Tuesday, December 29, 2009. I have really slacked in the recipe department, no lie there. But I do have good reason. As you all know, Im sure, we are in the middle of the *hopeful* adoption of Kayla's biological baby brother due very early Feb, 2010. So things are crazy to say the very least. Its not going nearly as smooth as Kayla's adoption. The Christmas Present you ask? A cook book from their church full of delish recipes! Posted by Stay at home cooking Mama. This is the p...
