Point Taken: Life's Lessons Learned: Lesson #53: It Gets Better
http://point-taken.blogspot.com/2011/08/lesson-53-it-gets-better.html
Point Taken: Life's Lessons Learned. A Guidebook to My Life. (If you want one, you'll have to write your own.). Sunday, August 21, 2011. Lesson #53: It Gets Better. I'm not kidding. About any of this. How I came here? Well, that's also another long story. It's not my first foray in the South - and boy does it make me home sick for cicadas and real, old big magnolias, and old slate and brick buildings. But it is the first time in our nation's capital. And my first time "vacationing" alone. Yep, that's me.

Friday, December 27, 2013. A Bit of Christmassy Goo, But it Gets Better Toward the End :). As you may know, I have a very dear friend who lives far away (like most of the close people in my life.don't cry for me.Argentina? Are there countries with 4 syllables to which I have actually been? Stop wasting time, back to the post). Anywho, I've written about her before. Me: Travel well my dearest friends, enjoy the trip! D: May all the mosquitoes in Northern India die before my arrival. So I started blessing ...

Bright Side Blogs: The Quest For Wisdom Through Trial and Error: My Super Power is Minnesota Nice. Will I Use it for Good or Evil?
http://sagegrasshopper.blogspot.com/2009/09/my-super-power-is-minnesota-nice-will-i.html
Monday, September 21, 2009. My Super Power is Minnesota Nice. Will I Use it for Good or Evil? So at Grace Church Roseville, this series of sermons is happening about Minnesota Nice. He had a great definition up there from Wikipedia, and it stirred up my own thoughts on the subject. Here's a perfect example of Minnesota Nice, a real texting conversation between my Minnesotan friend that moved to Tennessee. We'll call her D:. Me: We HAVE to get together and have lunch while you're visiting! Can we do 12:30?

Scrittore Creativo: Movie Review: The Social Network
http://scrittorecreativo.blogspot.com/2010/10/movie-review-social-network.html
I came to drop bombs. Sunday, October 10, 2010. Movie Review: The Social Network. Ok I have to admit I was really skeptical about. The question is, "When are you going to make another record, JT? We even get a great performance from Justin Timberlake in the role of Sean Parker, also known as the guy who founded Napster. It's obvious to see how Mark would be attracted to Sean. It was almost like a. I'd also like to add that the soundtrack is pretty incredible. Scored by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, ...

Scrittore Creativo: Cool Places: Woodstock Museum in Bethel Hill, NY
http://scrittorecreativo.blogspot.com/2010/09/cool-places-woodstock-museum-in-bethel.html
I came to drop bombs. Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Cool Places: Woodstock Museum in Bethel Hill, NY. I was really excited to check it out because I had grown up with a lot of music from that era. When we were kids my father would always play Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young; Santana; Credence Clearwater Revival and many others. I have lots of fond memories of rides for ice cream and to Harveys Lake for some Grotto Pizza all set to a sixties soundtrack. Unfortunately, photography wasn't allowed in the museum...

Nice Limbo: May 2012
http://wadewitz.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Nerdy and outraged diatribes about people encountered in various lines. Monday, May 14, 2012. Who the Hell Are You? Obligatory acknowledgment (and stating the obvious) that I haven't written anything here in 11 months. Maybe a bunch has happened. Maybe nothing of much consequence has. Writing about nearly a full year of day-by-day details would surely make you do little more than scroll to the end to see if there is, indeed, a punchline. (Hint: There is not.). Besides, what does that even mean? Former bo...

Mandy's Mentions: Diversity
http://mandysmentions.blogspot.com/2010/06/intercultural-sensitivity.html
Everything that is written merely to please the author is worthless. Monday, June 14, 2010. As America grows, diversity and how to deal with it becomes more and more of a focus and a challenge. First and foremost, people need to realize that there is a whole world full of thousands of cultures and that interaction is unavoidable. Secondly, we all need to be aware that these cultures can differ dramatically from ours and that this can cause friction from miscommunication. Hahn (2005) gives a lot of good a...

GlobalWatchWatch: American Family
http://globalwatchwatch.blogspot.com/2010/08/american-family.html
Saturday, August 7, 2010. This section, while not horribly written, disturbs me. The person who typed in Global Watch. Matches two of the characters, Max and Rachel, in a romance. It's a subplot of the story how they realize their true feelings for each other. That's all well and sickly sweet and ho-hum predictable, but this section has the domestic abuse hotline counselor in me screaming out. I hope in Book 2 of the exciting series Global Watch.
