A Desert Rose: July 2011
http://pedacus.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 08, 2011. The Rainy Pacific Northwest. It has a Bavarian theme and is very touristy. however the Wenatchee National Forest borders the town and that is where we actually did get to do some climbing. We climbed a route called Outer Space, and it's one of the best routes i've climbed anywhere, ever. So we did end up getting to do a little climbing after all. Coming back liz couldn't fit everything into her bags so she carried on her sleeping bag. we tucked ourselves in for a little nap. We als...

Friday, July 30, 2010. This is why I love living in Salt Lake:. Tuesday, July 06, 2010. Happy 4th of July! We climbed 2 different routes in the cirque, both which topped out at different places. you could see the entire salt lake valley below, which is both neat and un-cool at the same time. for all that uphill (and downhill! Effort it'd be nice to not see any sign of civilization. but it was interesting to see the whole valley where we live that way too. Happy to be back in the tent. On top of the world!

You've Been Riding that Thing for How Long? Sunday, December 19, 2010. Guatemala in 3 Weeks (Not Nearly Enough Time). I have noticed that the longer we are on the road, the more time elapses between blog posts. So here we are with our one and only blog post for Guatemala, which by the way, is an absolutely amazing country. Loving one-on-one Spanish class. A teacher's dream, right? With Dona Blanca in her kitchen, and delicious chicken noodle soup. A treat since it was so cold. Saturday, December 4, 2010.

mark & katie: In the absence of snow, why not sled on ash?

You've Been Riding that Thing for How Long? Wednesday, January 5, 2011. In the absence of snow, why not sled on ash? Is it possible that I have missed an entire country? I noticed that our last blog post was from Guatemala. Currently, we are in Nicaragua. In between those two countries though, we spent three weeks and two major holidays in Honduras. How time flies. The ruins of Copan. Beautiful scarlet macaws that are all over the ruins site. The all-powerful jaguar that is depicted at all Mayan sites.

Thursday, June 25, 2009. There and back again. This will be the last update before we hit the states, and then I. You'll get pictures. We just had some bangers and mash and a big pile of fish 'n chips a block from Piccadilly circus in London, with a pint of ale very much in the flavor of Coopersmiths. Yesterday was our last riding day, and we rolled into Zurich for the best stealth camp. Bonus points here, fellas! 30 km in the morning for coffee and we rounded out our trip at 2345 km! Day 18. 15/1490...

A Desert Rose: My Birthday Adventure
http://pedacus.blogspot.com/2011/05/my-birthday-adventure.html
Tuesday, May 17, 2011. By the time we made it down to the parking lot the sun was just about shining again, and our friend Mark (who was also rained off a different climb) was grilling sausages in the parking lot. He grilled me a happy birthday sausage, which warmed me right back up. It turned out to be a perfect day! Warm and happy.before the storm! Ahhh the desperate rappel as the lightening was striking. This pic doesn't do justice to how completely soaked we were. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

You've Been Riding that Thing for How Long? Thursday, June 24, 2010. Adventure is overrated (Part II). We had the summit all to ourselves which is kind of rare in Colorado, and the view was fantastic. It eventually got dark, and with one meager headlamp, we stumbled down the trail to our campsite. 15 hours round trip to the summit of Crestone Needle and back. At least I'm wearing a 'Dukes of Hazard' shirt. Thursday, June 17, 2010. This is supposed to be our honeymoon! This isn't fun anymore- at all. ...
