Saturday, February 23, 2013. For the past 2 years, I have been working on getting my boys positions as umpires for our local Pony League. It turned into a bit of a political process, but I was able to get Parker in as one of the new umpires this year (I was bummed that Bryant couldn't be one, but at least he can still ref soccer). Tuesday, July 22, 2014. A final Angel game. This is my very first time trying to blog from my phone. If it is easy enough, I should be able to stay more current. One of Bryant's requests before leaving on his mission was getting to a few Angel games and we were determined to make that happen. Thanks to a work discount, we scored some great seats for an amazing price. We even convinced Bobby and Brandon to join us. It was a great night - even though the Angels lost. Wednesday, April 2, 2014. We have an Eagle Scout! After 7 years as a Boy Scout, Bryant finally achieved the rank of Eagle Scout tonight! It took a year and a half after completing his Eagle Project to wrap up the last 3 merit badges, complete the Eagle Scout Application, and have his Eagle Scout Board of Review. Saturday, May 11, 2013. For the 2nd year in a row, our church has held a dance, Mormon Prom, as an wholesome alternative to regular high school proms. Bryant was excited to be able to go again. He thoughtfully planned a way to ask his friend, Chandler, to go with him and she said yes! We quickly learned how much goes into a boy when it comes to prom. Lots of shopping had to be done - finding a suit, shoes, and matching accessories (it's stressful trying to match the dress perfectly!
