Dangella: February 2014
http://dangella.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Hello friends and family! I know it's been a month since we returned from Barbados, and I'm slow.and I owe some blog posts about the kitchen remodel, also. BUT, I have one more post I wanted to share from Barbados before getting back to the remodel. And this one is really simple:. Please revel with me, as I stroll down memory lane to a time when it was warm, and I was toasty. Round one New Year's Eve - rum punch with a Magners. That was round three.or was it four?

Dangella: January 2014
http://dangella.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 20, 2014. The colors of Barbados. Sorry it's been a little bit since my last post again. It's been a busy couple weeks getting back into the swing of things at work and in life. It's a real bummer having to get back to real life after a nice, long, restful vacation. :( But we have to carry on, right? And I'm still trying to get a couple last posts out about our Barbados trip. I've shared all the events and site-seeing that we did, but. Even this simple chain rail to delineate the parking ...

Dangella: Harrison's Cave
http://dangella.blogspot.com/2014/01/harrisons-cave.html
Saturday, January 04, 2014. We are enjoying a nice, lazy day today, so I'm taking a minute to do another blog post. Dan and Dad are both laying on the couches reading, so it's a good time to just take a minute to do a post and enjoy the free-time to get some of this down. :). Check-out how curly my hair got in the humidity! And it's hard to see in the pic, but there was a lot of frizz going on, too. Crazy warm and wet! There were tons of stalactites and stalagmites. They covered the ceilings, the flo...

Dangella: Barbados Island Tour
http://dangella.blogspot.com/2014/01/barbados-island-tour.html
Friday, January 03, 2014. There were a number of stops, which I'll talk about below. The first spot that Mark took us to was the Crane Beach and resort. It was just a really pretty overlook and some great picture spots. Here are some pics:. The east side is also windy. Check-out how this tree grew due to the constant wind coming up the bluff. Dan got a new hat here that he is really enjoying. :). I feel like that's fairly obvious, but just in case. :). Andy, Mary, Ang and Dan! LUNCH STOP - COOL ROCKS.

Saturday, April 27, 2013. Tons of Summer Improvements Part 3: Trim. Wow, we are such slackers. It's been a really long time since this stuff actually took place and we went a long time between posts until last week when Dan put up pictures of the kitchen demo. Sorry! We have no good excuse. But we need to get up to speed because it's time to start focusing on the inside stuff. Whoo! Here's a shot from when we first moved in. Before we could add the trim the guy painting our exterior suggested that we cau...

Dangella: Submarine Tour
http://dangella.blogspot.com/2014/01/submarine-tour.html
Saturday, January 04, 2014. Though I wrote most of the "island tour" post yesterday, so I'm not sure if it really counts. :) Anyway, we've had a nice, lazy and low-key day, so I have time for one more before we head to bed. We leave early tomorrow morning, and then it will be back to the cold and rain of Seattle. But for now, let's focus on the fun we've had! There were a number of cool fish that would swim right by the window. Ang coming out of the submarine. Dan coming out, too. They are native to the ...

Monday, September 23, 2013. Kitchen Remodel - Hanging Drywall Part II. I'm happily sitting at home watching some Monday night football (Go Denver! And thought I'd multi-task.hence you get a post! We used 1/2" drywall on the walls, which was nice. It's SO much lighter than the 5/8" stuff we used on the ceiling! Here are some areas I/we worked on:. Then I cut a sheet that would fit and worked on getting the holes cut for outlets:. I cut the holes with a hand drywall saw (in my right hand). For the door and...

Sunday, September 30, 2012. Tons of Summer Improvements Part 1: Conduit. Hi Family and Friends! Here are some pictures of the process. (We didn't document very well, so these pics from my phone are all we have.). Here is the final run to the movie room and two bedrooms. We also caulked around the penetrations once they were in place so they are water tight. There ya have it! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Dans Projects and Thoughts. The Marty Riemer Show. Dangella: Mt. Gay Rum Distillery
http://dangella.blogspot.com/2014/01/mt-gay-rum-distillery.html
Monday, January 06, 2014. Mt Gay Rum Distillery. Today I'm sharing pics from the Mt. Gay Rum Distillery. This was the last official thing we did on the island, and it was quite fun. This was the second distillery we visited (St. Nicholas Abbey from the island tour was the first), and it was interesting to see the differences between the two. And yes, we're holding rum punch, which you get with every tour and activity you do on the island. :). Dan and I were very excited.or maybe drunk. lol. St Nicholas o...
