GILLY: June 2006

Monday, June 26, 2006. The Alps and Kriterium Racing. Riding up the mountain, too hot for the helmet, and there's snow on the side of the road! Ralph powering away, tough as an ox, even though he hardly does any training these days. The mountain is big. the rider is small, but must reach the top. Stuffed after 110kms in the mountains, but still contesting an intermediate sprint for points. Oli came over me in the last couple of meters, 2nd, damn. Posted by Gilly at 12:06 PM. GILLY: September 2006

Sunday, September 03, 2006. So over this weekend, with the help of Candice, i made a brash decision that a tour would be the best way to go to see Europe. I was really lucky to find a tour that suited my time schedule and requirements to a tee. So i'm leaving for London today, stay a night at my Aunty Julies house, catch up with all the Wong's and see Mum as well. So I have a pretty action packed next month or so ahead of me, and i'm really looking forward to this trip. Posted by Gilly at 6:12 AM.

Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Ok, so i have never seen anything like this on a bahn (velodrome) before in my life, cars and motorbikes hurtling around at speeds of up to 150 clicks an hour. Craziness! I can't actually remember how i raced on this particular week, but it was probably pretty good knowing my efforts on a bicycle. Anyway crew, enjoy the pics. The track from the best vantage point i could find. The massive turnout to see Me! One for the oldies. Posted by Gilly at 8:53 PM. The day after Dissenho...

GILLY: July 2006

Wednesday, July 12, 2006. So, Thursday 6th I had not a bad day, managed to go to the shops and buy a map so I don’t get lost anymore, also I bought some brake pads for my bike (138 francs for the set, damn that’s expensive! And I did 140kms training, not too bad, but not much else for the day. Friday was pretty unexciting, can’t even remember what happened. Tuesday (today) I went for a 55km training ride in the morning, as I was racing the track in the evening. Also I packed my bags, for the Alps, as...
