Too much august, not enough snow. Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Wearing a YB hat. Wanna see what I (as in We) have been up to these past months? Rose Hunter's YB Poetry Journal just went live and I've been a guest editor there, along with John Riley. You only thought you knew about windows! Come take a peek! And if you want to download a copy for free to read on your Kindle, there is a link for that as well. (Get your free eBook version here! This is my first eBook I've formatted! Too much august, not enough snow. Thursday, May 12, 2011. When I ask how he is doing, he sends a photo of sunrise coloring the walls in what he calls his front room. It's easier to sleep in the living room recliner now; that angle makes it possible to breathe. When I ask again. Dad, how are you doing? We don't see the dams happen, we see them when they are done. My folks are hoping if they keep quiet and blend in, they will witness the making of one said dam. May 13, 2011 at 10:00 PM. Hugs and blessings ...

http://toomuchaugustnotenoughsnow.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Too much august, not enough snow. Friday, May 27, 2011. Tremble, rattle and flood. My father writes: Can you remember how the windows in our house would rattle when the water was this high? I do remember. From this angle, up river, you can't tell how far and fast the water falls where you see the white water, but we lived downstream from that fall. And so we grew up knowing the power of water, the tremble in the ground. Links to this post. Thursday, May 26, 2011. This is something else I'll never know.

Too Much At The Pump. Does Being Bilingual Have Unsuspected Benefits? July 26, 2015. It’s long been argued being bilingual provides a leg up in life, and even anecdotal evidence suggests that is true. For example, individuals who speak more than one language are often sought after for higher paying jobs. However, recent studies indicate there are previously unrecognized benefits to learning more than one language. Does that increased ability to empathize occur when older individuals learn a second langua...

too much august not enough snow

Too much august not enough snow. The book of prairie is broad with stories. And platters of bottom land, bald eagles. In the cottonwoods waiting for another day. To fly. This is how we know a winter front. Approaches and what we want. Is to climb the plateau’s cliffs before the snow. Arrives, which we’ll do in four-wheel low,. On a barely discernible path. At mile marker nine, to reach the briar bushes. And game trails, the vista and the fields. Combined and tilled impossibly within six feet of the brink.

July 24, 2014. By Tom and Chloe Avery. Tot Ziens and Hoy. February 26, 2014. By Tom and Chloe Avery. My Brother’s Shadow – German Edition. Here it is the German edition of My Brother’s Shadow – Der Schatten Meines Bruders. I love this cover. Strange how two covers can so wonderfully fit the same book. Although not illustrated like the UK edition, Der Schatten Meines Bruders does have some lovely internal touches. Like these wonderful end pages. January 21, 2014. By Tom and Chloe Avery.
