Trains L&N Southern Missouri Pacific Southern Pacific THE BAY LINE. The Conrail locomotive is quite large. This was in Decatur, Al. Each truck has 6 wheels. SD-45 locomotive maybe? The Bay Line below was in Florida near Panama City or Destin in 1984. A GP-7 maybe. Maintained by Gemini Software.

Trains L&N Southern Missouri Pacific Southern Pacific THE BAY LINE. These were taken in Houston, Texas at the Southern Pacific yard around 1972. Car inspection and train formation were the order of the day here. Just two years prior to these photos a terrible accident had occured where a train car jumped the retarder and rolled into a parked tank car loaded with fuel. Many where killed that day. Trains L&N Southern Missouri Pacific Southern Pacific THE BAY LINE. Louisville and Nashville merged with Seaboard in the Late 70's and began using the Seaboard Coast Line/Louisville and Nashville Logo. The first and third pictures are from Decatur, Alabama. Trains L&N Southern Missouri Pacific Southern Pacific THE BAY LINE. These were taken in Mineola, Texas around 1975. Missouri Pacific typically ran GP-38s or SD-40 locomotives. Once I saw an SD-45(I think). The trains usually had around 120 cars and ran around 40 to 60 mph. Track inspectors walk the rails looking for problems. Three GP-38s pulling around one hundred cars slowly crawls through Mineola on a nice summer day. Maintained by Gemini Software.
