Skip to search - Accesskey = s. 109 in 2009 Site. Two Small Mouth Bass. Does it ever really go away? By Donna on February 26, 2009. They are all sad and tragic losses that we most certainly could have gone a few more years without. But they all had lessons in them. What they are, what they might be, they are private. Intended only for those they are meant. I’ve a always wondered does it get easier? Does the sense of loss go away, do we hurt less? Does IT ever really go away? What exactly is IT? I went do...

Skip to search - Accesskey = s. 109 in 2009 Site. Two Small Mouth Bass. By Donna on November 30, 2008. Check it out some time. With all that’s going on, I feel like maybe I’m bottling somethings up and even sugar coating some. I can feel myself slipping into what I feel like is a severe case of home sickness as the holidays are now here. But tomorrow I start my new job and I’m hoping things will get better from there. It’s going to be a challenge, but who knows, maybe after this one, it will get ea...

Each Day Wiser :. Laquo; Newest addition. Monday, August 16, 2010. Last week, we got a phone call from our midwife informing us that our baby’s newborn screening bloodwork came back showing a positive for galactosemia. Galactosemia is a condition in which the body is unable to use (metabolize) the simple sugar galactose. We had to take Asher into the pediatrician the very next day to have his screening done again. In addition to that, we had to take him to a lab to have a vile of blood drawn for the ...

Each Day Wiser :. Laquo; I hate conditions. Getting Back To It! Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Well, yesterday morning while we were at the birthing center waiting to see Lori’s midwife for our 2 week post natal appointment, Lori got a call from our pediatrician. He called to let us know that Asher’s labwork results came back from the metabolic geneticist and they were perfectly normal! He DOES NOT have galactosemia! What a huge relief. Or leave a trackback: Trackback URL. I’m glad everything is good! Enter...

Each Day Wiser :. Laquo; Older Entries. It’s a………. Monday, March 8, 2010. We had our ultrasound on Friday and the baby looked good! I made a card and had the tech write in it what we were having. We then took it to Round Rock Bakery and had them make a cake in which the filling was either blue or pink depending on what the baby was. Saturday, we had a few friends over to celebrate my early birthday and the great cutting of the cake. When we sliced it open, it was blue! What will it be? So small am I,.

Each Day Wiser :. Laquo; Older Entries. Getting Back To It! Tuesday, April 1, 2014. It’s beginning soccer. Surely at this age, it can’t be that hard. Both kids had their first games this past Saturday. We were pleasantly surprised at how well they both went, considering they each only had two practices under their belts. I’ll have to get some pictures of from both of the games. Man, those little t-ballers….how freaking cute they are! They look like miniature baseball players. Wednesday, August 18, 2010.

Each Day Wiser :. Laquo; It’s a………. Any day now…. Wednesday, July 14, 2010. Lori is now 38 1/2 weeks pregnant. Not too much longer till her due date. However, I don’t think that she’ll make it that long. There have been a bunch of signs pointing to the fact that she’s pretty close now. I won’t get into all the descriptions of said signs, just know that things are progressing along. We won’t know anything until this next little one is born. I’m ready to get the show on the road! Each Day Wiser :. Laquo; Any day now…. Wednesday, August 4, 2010. He’s here. Go ahead and start pushing! He was born 3 pushes later at 3:02AM. I was in utter amazement at the whole thing. Lori made it look SO easy. This was her first completely natural childbirth and she made it look like she had done it 10 times before. It was incredible! Heck, I look more tired than she did. And I think I literally broke more of a sweat than she did. The other picture is Lori’s mother holding Asher. I’m still in ...

Each Day Wiser :. Laquo; Good news! Getting Back To It! Tuesday, April 1, 2014. It’s beginning soccer. Surely at this age, it can’t be that hard. So far, it hasn’t been that bad. I’m just dealing with short attention spans right now and of course inexperience. But I think the kids are having fun. And that’s really all that matters at this age. Teach them the fundamentals of the game and of being on a team, make sure they have fun, and the experience will come with time. Or leave a trackback: Trackback URL.

The Center of the Universe. Wherever I go there I am. Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Before His Next Birthday. My baby boy turned two in April! I should be reading. Note: I wrote this to try to work through a moment of anxiety to get to a more positive motivation for reading. Self-reassurement is a weird thing to write, but it helped somehow.). My father was always impressed by how fast I tore through books in the way back seat of the van (“you only started that Little House book when we left? Anymore. This task is gigantic; is my brain really good enough to capture all this? 8220;But really, you should be reading.”. I usually don’t get ve...

Just another WordPress.com site. If I Didn’t Have You. May 6, 2013 by hbogacz27. So, we’ve finally come to the end of our class, Gospel and Global Media. For our final project, we were asked to creatively connect theological reflection and social media. I have to admit…this was something new for me. I had never before created something using social media. Perhaps, I have found a new outlet for myself…both personally and professionally. Here is my final project:. If I Didn't Have You. Tales Of A Transplanted Mets Fan
Tales Of A Transplanted Mets Fan. Wednesday, April 15, 2015. I've Changed My Mind About The Jackie Robinson Rotunda. When CitiField opened, many fans griped that the stadium did not have enough "Mets" to it. For sure, Mets imagery and even blue and orange were scant. And a grand entrance dedicated to a man who had never even donned a Mets uniform led many fans to say that owner Fred Wilpon had built a shrine to the Brooklyn Dodgers, instead of the New York Mets. My son had heard of him. The weather was p...

A Chinese-Canadian teaching in Korea. A Glorious Return (for a day). Asymp; 1 Comment. Welcome to the main street. The signage on the bus terminal brags to the world: We’ve arrived. Gone were the imbalanced gravel that screamed “under construction”. In their place were new rubbery sidewalks that provided a spring in my step. The view from the entrance of Haeryong. Not a lot has changed, but if you look closely you’ll see a 7/11 now. Playing Scrabble with the students. I spent the morning in Hayley’...

Gettysburg, PA family getaway. We took advantage of the long weekend to head to Gettysburg for Labor Day. Cookie in a cannon. On the lookout…. Checking out Devil’s Den with Daddy. Hanging out with a Confederate soldier. On the way home we also stopped by the Antietam National Battlefield Park. We saw quite a lot for our 3 days-two national battlefields and Eisenhower’s home! We had a great time and plan to head back when little F is a bit older when we can go through the park at a more leisurely pace!

There is a battle between flying and daily chores and obligations. This includes the need to finish other goals including starting my insurance and retirement planning business. All I can sa...
