Letters From Jill: July 2013
http://lettersfromjill.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 23, 2013. Well, two weeks flew by and here I am back in Oklahoma sitting on GG's couch. My time in Benin with the children was fantastic, as always. I LOVED having Claire and Courtney there with me and it was such a JOY to have Betsy and Molly there during our stay as well. Here is a video that I hope you all love. More blogposts to come, promise! Monday, July 8, 2013. Have I not commanded you? When I open my laptop, the first thing I see are their faces. But their picture is not just on my...

Letters From Jill: December 2012
http://lettersfromjill.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 27, 2012. The past few days have most definitely been a whirlwind. In the best possible way. I arrived in Cotonou, Benin on Saturday night around 8:30pm local time. The next hour was spent going through the process to enter the country and then waiting for my bags. I had arrived to Brussels from Chicago very early on Saturday morning, so my bags were obviously some of the first ones on the plane. Therefore, they were the last ones off the plane! 8221; or a “How are you? And then Ashley...

Letters From Jill: April 2014
http://lettersfromjill.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 28, 2014. Saturnin found a mouse.and loved the screams he got from Tata! The past week has been difficult for me. The kids have been sick. I have been sick. I have been tired. And I have been unpleasant to be around on more than one occasion. (Maybe too many occasions to count. 8230; something as small as turning your car around. And then all I wanted was a cold Coke and no one in town had one. 8230; shouldn’t all moments be filled with joy? We all have that choice to make, don’t we? To cho...

Letters From Jill: When ebola is at your backdoor...
http://lettersfromjill.blogspot.com/2014/08/when-ebola-is-at-your-backdoor.html
Friday, August 8, 2014. When ebola is at your backdoor. To be quite honest, there are many things I anticipated experiencing my first year living in Benin, West Africa. I anticipated struggling to learn a new language. I anticipated having difficulty acclimating to a new culture. I anticipated sweating, a lot. I anticipated being exhausted more often than not. There are many things I anticipated. Does love look like irrationally making decisions without prayerfully seeking wisdom and guidance first?

http://lettersfromjill.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 10, 2014. Welll, hopefully all of you had a great weekend! It’s Sunday night here in Benin and I just got off the phone with my mom and dad and GG and am watching Season 1 of Grey’s Anatomy in the upper right hand corner of my computer while I type up this little blog post. Also talked to Megan and Dr. Henley at Milestones. Shout out to my MPC family; miss you guys! Also, just killed the 153. Weekends are fun around here. This weekend has been busy, as usual and also fun, of course!

Monday, April 15, 2013. Mike's Perspective: Last Day and Tree of Life Takeover. Here are some of Mike's thoughts about his last day in Sakete with Arbre de Vie.for now! The kids in the shirts Papa Blackie made for them! Well, I need to apply that to my life when it comes to my family. Don't do enough just to get by, but do something different that sets us apart. Letters From Jill: leaving.
http://lettersfromjill.blogspot.com/2014/06/leaving.html
Monday, June 16, 2014. I have been blessed to spend over 3 weeks in the States. I came home for my only niece's high school graduation and have thoroughly enjoyed being with my incredible family and seeing a few of my very wonderful friends along the way. How could I be so lucky to have TWO places to call home? And they both genuinely do feel like home. I may wish that my home in Benin had central air conditioning and hot water, but hey, I guess we won't get into the knitty gritty details, huh? And by &#...
