Trees for Transition - Community Trees Handbook

Robin Walter has been working with the environmental charity Common Ground to produce a Community Trees Handbook. Trees and woods will continue to provide a wide range of traditional resources, including timber, woodfuel and pulpwood. Woods also accomodate the widest range of wildlife of any UK eco-system. Trees have long been cultivated to provide fruits and nuts in orchards. These resources can occur of their own accord, especially some of the wildlife, but in the UK they mostly need active management of the woods to deliver them. Trees for Good also seeks to educate home and business owners about the value of trees in the suburban landscape. Craig K. Chandler serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Trees for Good.
