Sunday, September 13, 2009. A Fun Filled Summer. We have had a fun summer, so fun that I haven't managed to blog for the past couple of months so here is a recap of what kept us so busy. I painted the pillars and one wall in our front room and am trying to decorate. The mantle in our family room. Planting a caring for our garden that didn't fare well after too much hail. Peter had used wheat flour instead of using the mix We weren't fans of the wheatcakes you see below. This is what a good pancake looks like. Here is the recipe we use. It is really tasty! 6 cups wheat flour. 3 cups white flour. 188; cup baking powder. 1½ cups powdered milk. 1 egg, slightly beaten. 1½ cups water. 2¼ cups wheat pancake mix. Gives me lots of heartburn - going on since September 2008. November 2008 found out we were having a baby girl. Hurts me daily, wakes me up nightly with her constant kicking. Actually it is more of a pushing some body part out so far into my belly. -January 16, 2009. Measuring 2 cm bigger than normal at 28 weeks - January 2009. Kicks and kicks - January 2009. Induction scheduled for March 24th. Dilated to a three, 75% effaced - March 17, 2009. Sleeps all the time. April 3, 2009. May 2009 first smiles.

Sunday, August 28, 2011. We started out the summer with a trip to the Sand Dunes. Uncle Jeff came with us. We were so glad to get to spend some time with him. We played in the water run off, hiked to a waterfall, camped for a night and then Madison fell on a cactus. She wasn't too happy after that, so we decided to head home. Sunday, August 28, 2011. To divide up the drive home from Utah we stopped in Glenwood Springs. After finding out that the traffic back home would have taken us 3 extra hours, we were really glad we stopped! The diving board and slide were a highlight of the pools.
