Monday, April 25, 2011. I had a lovely day today with my beautiful friend Miss P. She is truly a special lady. I had every intention of pampering us both with a couple of pedi's but alas all the shops were shut the three locations we tried so we decided to head to West End watering hole Archive. We both had $10 burgers and a pear cider each. YUM. This is me and Miss P - isn't she adorbs? On another note.I made pumpkin soup tonight. It was very gingery (an hommage to moi peut-etre? Youre a knob of ginger.

Tuesday, February 21, 2012. Outdoor movies at Coolum. A few weeks ago we went to the movies to see an old Aussie classic, The Castle. It is a fw years old but a great favourite with my family. The movie was shown on an outdoor screen as a community event in Coolum right beside the beach.the clouds were coming over but luckily the rain held off just until we were heading home. Kondallilla Falls, Flaxton. After about a 2 hour walk we arrived at a waterhole right on top of the waterfall.quite beautiful ...

Friday, August 17, 2012. I love making journals. I have another journal on the go.it is for our trip 'down east' in September to Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and then across the ferry to Halifax. Friday, October 21, 2011. Whales and rollercoast boat ride. So, Don and I setting off our on whale watching adventure! It was great.I think most people were either yelling, screaming or just groaning. I had a hat but it was a broadbrimmed cane hat which would have blown off easily so Don lent me his cap as my skin is so fair.unfortunately that meant he had no hat and we didn't realize until that nite how that wasn't a good idea. Friday, September 9, 2011. We spent most of our time out on this verandah.all day for days.I read and wrote and painted and drew and loved it all. I lay under a huge old bottle tree and took this pic.Desley figured out it could be 2 or 3 hundred years old.it is quite incredible. The chooks.we became quite attached to them.they walk all day scouting around for whatever they eat.they must do miles each day. Road trip to babysit the farm at Moola. Wednesday, September 7, 2011. I have begun walking each morning to try and shift some of my spare tyre and at the end of my walk I say hello to this statue at the Buderim Craft Cottage.I really like it. This lady holds up the sky or the rain or the sun, whatever is happening. Next time I need to copy out what this is for.info on the plaque of course, which I have read but have also forgotten. Monday, June 25, 2012. Well this is my table! The photos ended up in a random order .it took me 2 goes to do this ie to put them on the blog here.I really like my table.I also painted some plain pieces of china for fun.right in the center of the china is a piece of funny beach glass I picked up in Cape Breton a few years ago.it is pinkish and quite thick and pretty.I like it.
