And when I say "emo," I don't mean Dashboard or My Chemical Romance or any of those other bands that plague the airwaves complaining about girls. No, American Football was a true emo band, blending incredibly melodic guitar riffs with teen angst, that is perfected so well that you can't help but sympathize and relate to the lyrics.
