Alacrity sailboat: Back for a sail
http://alacrity19.blogspot.com/2011/08/back-for-sail.html
Monday, August 8, 2011. Back for a sail. Actually went back to Sweden for a couple of days last week and got the boat into the water. It wasn't in too bad a shape considering a winter of sitting abandoned and not much maintenance having been done in the spring. So some varnish, a little wash and we were off for a sail last Thursday. Also the decision is made to try and keep the boat in Sweden and go back next summer to hopefully sail a little more. Monday, August 08, 2011. Back for a sail.

Alacrity sailboat: January 2012

Saturday, January 28, 2012. Due to the fact that the Alacrity does not have forward lower shrouds, the mast sometimes tends to get the wrong shape. This has recently been discussed on the Alacrity forum and some tips have been offered. One of them is to simply swap the deck attachments for the upper and lower shrouds, but this will bend the spreaders slightly backwards. Perhaps that isn't a problem though. Read his report here. Alacrity sailboat: May 2010

Saturday, May 22, 2010. Oh no - the pub has closed! Today I set out with my friend Mari for our traditional spring lunch at the pub on Storholmen. It was a warm, sunny day with light winds, but enough to get us there without motoring all the way. However, as we arrived, disaster struck. The pub was closed. And not only closed, but completely deserted, shackled up, shut down. Crunched by the credits, supposedly. Saturday, May 22, 2010. Links to this post. Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Alacrity sailboat: Sold
http://alacrity19.blogspot.com/2012/05/sold.html
Sunday, May 20, 2012. I have sold Discovery, my beloved Alacrity 19. It wasn't an easy decision but considering the facts at hand it was the best one. It would simply have been to expensive to get her where I live now, and that's not even close enough to the sea to be able to use her frequently. Sunday, May 20, 2012. Ach, Jens its the end of an era. Heres to new adventures in the kayak. have you ever read The unlikely Voyage of Jack de Crow A. McKinnon? May 20, 2012 at 11:32 PM. Original and archived res...

Alacrity sailboat: June 2014
http://alacrity19.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 23, 2014. Alacrity on Holy Island. During the Easter holidays we took a trip to Northumberland and visited Holy Island. At the time it was a quite chilly, stormy place. However, the little harbour is very nice and to my surprise I found a good old Alacrity stored there. I do not know who the owner is and it has never featured on this blog before, so I thought, I'd add it with some photos. And as a bonus some nice pictures of the harbour. Monday, June 23, 2014. Alacrity "My Girl" Refit. In which I restore a 1966 Alacrity 18.5' Twin Bilge Keel Sailboat. 20 years on the Hard. A long way to go! Saturday, April 30, 2011. Boy that looks nasty! This is the surface of the hatch, the gel-coat was completely rotted in several places and had to be completely removed before resurfacing. An old repair that had used automotive bondo. Same corner of hatch after much sanding, scraping, filling , sanding and filling again. Still got a little way to go but almost there. Britt h...
