Tuesday, September 18, 2012. Madilynne Grace Bruce,. What can I Say? 9 years ago I can remember being the most nervous and scared father-to-be you can imagine. Would I be a good enough dad? Would I provide her with everything she wants/needs? Will she love me like I already love her, even though I haven’t even met her yet? Well, 9 years later and only she can answer those. Questions, but now there are a whole set of new questions. Does she truly know how much I love her? Do I say it enough? Baseball, Soc...

Monday, April 16, 2012. Stomach Issues . . . This story happened about a week and a half ago . . . Here's a little bit of build up to the actual incident . . . I usually work until 5 on Wednesdays and DJ gets the kids from school on his break from work - he usually works Wednesday nights. This Wednesday he sends me a text while I'm at work:. DJ: You wanna work for me tonight and I'll watch the kids and get the snacks? Class parties were the next day. DJ: You don't have to. I was just offering. ME: Heathe...

Friday, September 30, 2011. We had Parent/Teacher conferences this week and while I was not concerned with what Madi's teacher was going to say, I was a. Concerned with what Boston's teacher would say. I wasn't expecting a very bad review, he never had any problems at Pre-School or at Elaina's, but still, I was a little concerned. Madi's P/T conference was first. She has a sub while her teacher is on maternity leave (2mo early! Who is this child she speaks of? She said while all his friends gave up aroun...

Boston6: I love you. 2 What makes mommy happy? Madi5: I don't know. Madi8: Gifts and good behavior. Boston3: When I make her pictures. 3 What makes mommy sad? 6 How old is mommy?

Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Let's start at the beginning. Told everyone they were from her. I told her not to worry about it, everything would work out ok. Well, here's where the mommy guilt comes in . . . I kept saying ok, I understood and that I would discuss it with her, we finally got off the phone and out came the tears. I felt (feel) soooo bad! But because my Madi Grace IS. So amazing, she took it like a champ! We were at the St. Joe mall after Boston's game tonight and I told her that I was re...

Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Happy Birthday Baby Boy! I love you little man, but you have been a pain in the boo-tay ever since the beginning! We took a trip to Boston, knowing all the while that two MAJOR events were in the works - #1 Baldo was going to propose to Amy and #2 we were hoping for a baby (boy). That was May, nine months later, there you were. I will never forget the day we went in for the sonogram, the tech said, "see that? Pain #1) 2 days before we were supposed to find out if you were a bo...

Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Vacation is officially O.V.E.R. We got back into town late Friday night and to say I was naive about going back to reality is an understatement. Boston had tryouts for a traveling baseball team early Saturday morning then it was just going to be a lazy day by the pool. which it was, but then we had Madi's parents vs players game (where almost no other parents showed up), Sunday lazy day as well. then Monday came - BOOM - reality hit me in the face! I am a little concerned that o...

Thursday, December 29, 2011. Let's start with the Elves. Barney and Holly made every morning a little more exciting for the kids, they loved waking up to figure out where the elves were, sometimes this was NOT good, because SOMEONE (ehhem, Daddy Elf) would forget to make sure they moved, so Mama Elf would have to rush downstairs to make sure they moved before the kids got downstairs for breakfast. Here are Barney and Holly checking out some of our Christmas cards. Whew, am I glad that's over! Me: Well ba...
