My Experience with Type one Diabetes. Houston Tour de Cure Update. Yesterday was the Houston Tour de Cure. As you might know, I have been training for several months for this event. And unfortunately the rides were canceled due to weather. Bummer! Though disappointed, I understand the cancellation because it has been very rainy the passed few days and the routes were very flooded and covered with debris. This entry was tagged ADA. My Experience with Type one Diabetes. I am very happy with this number but I was nervous about some of the blood cells still left over from my diagnosis affecting the outcome of this a1c. That apparently was not the case. But all in all I am very please with the outcome of my first a1c. I hope I can keep a good grip on my diabetes and can continue to have low a1c’s.
