An Opportunity of a Lifetime. My 27 Months as a Peace Corps Health Volunteer in Uganda. Sunday, February 22, 2009. Good times now, good times to come. Since the last time I've been doing a little of this and that. Nothing important, just determining my future and going on the best trip of my life :). First of all, i determined when my Peace Corps service is over. May 14th everyone! Fortunately there will also be "WELCOME BACK, HAVE SOME FREE FOOD AND BOOZE! There are only 2 vehicles on the island and the...

http://www.ugandawes.blogspot.com/2009/01/holiday-celebrate.html

An Opportunity of a Lifetime. My 27 Months as a Peace Corps Health Volunteer in Uganda. Friday, January 9, 2009. Well a few days ago ended a whirlwind holiday season that leaves me with a lot to say.if I could only remember what I did then i could say it. :) Anyways, first I'll make a bold, unexplained statement then give non-indepth Cliff's notes version of what happened and finally I'll add 2 stories. Hope you like the format. I DON'T LIKE THE FRENCH LANGUAGE. There, i said it! Now for my 2 stories.

An Opportunity of a Lifetime. My 27 Months as a Peace Corps Health Volunteer in Uganda. Saturday, October 18, 2008. Sit down, relax, and read everything you wanna know. Ok, so this picture sort up sums up my feelings towards my recent vacation to Mozambique, and my general happiness level here. Thanks to my girlfriend and travel buddy Diana for adding a super happy face to this photo. Well, maybe we're exaggerating a little, but hey, don't you know me? Ok, maybe not, but at least you're warned. Last week...

I've Desaided to go to Uganda: November 2008

http://rishipcv.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

I've Desaided to go to Uganda. More than you care to know about my peace corps service in Uganda. Monday, November 24, 2008. Unforseen Consequences of the Current Financial Crisis. Side note: the one thing that Ugandan supermarkets do have in common with America is an overwhelming assortment of Pringles chips.  Seriously, in my nearest supermarket 40k away, there are 11 different types of Pringles! I mean, I've never even seen a Ugandan eating Pringles! Where are the hidden Pringles connosieurs of Uganda!

I've Desaided to go to Uganda. More than you care to know about my peace corps service in Uganda. Wednesday, February 28, 2007. From Philadelphia With Love. My Parents and I arrived in Philadelphia this evening, and it's been pretty tame so far. Oddly, the 'rents aren't exactly the go-out-on-the-town type. In much brighter news, I purchased a digital camera this morning! Finally, I have narrowed my top 10 list to 10 albums, so now all that is left is for me to rank them. Will I finish before I leave?

I've Desaided to go to Uganda. More than you care to know about my peace corps service in Uganda. Saturday, December 1, 2007. So, i know this blog is supposed to be about my experience in uganda, but the only thing i can seem to think about these days is the mountaineers making it to the BCS title game. i'm about to explode. everyone's getting really annoyed that i refuse to talk about anything else. it's time for those few that read my blog to join their ranks. Diwali was fun, here's some pictures.

I've Desaided to go to Uganda. More than you care to know about my peace corps service in Uganda. Saturday, March 24, 2007. First post from Africa! Okay, now we get to the more useful part of the blog, when I actually post about uganda and the things going on here. I've been here for three weeks now, and i'm starting to get settled in. my fellow PCTs (peace corps trainees) are awesome, and it's been easy getting to know everyone. other things have taken some getting used to. http://rishipcv.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html

I've Desaided to go to Uganda. More than you care to know about my peace corps service in Uganda. Thursday, August 9, 2007. I should write more. Okay, due to a harry potter induced exile from all forms of mass communication, i have been pretty lazy with the blog postings. unfortunately, this means that everything else i had to do on the internet took up most of my time. thus, there is no deeper existentialist undertones to this post. i'm sorry. Blech that was too much. Back to breakin 2: electric boogaloo.

Out of America, into Africa. Descriptions, rants, raves, contemplations, and (hopefully) epiphanies from a Peace Corps Uganda Volunteer. Thursday, January 3, 2008. Keep your fingers crossed for Kenya. I don't know if it has gotten a lot of news coverage in the US, but there is bit of a disturbance going on in Kenya at the moment and I wanted you all to be aware of it. But first let me say, I am absolutely fine, please don't worry about me. Taxi rides are ex-pen-sive. Wednesday, January 2, 2008. Let me ba...

I'm in kampala, getting some things done. it's been a while since my last post, so i'll give some updates. firstly, the bat situation is more or less (more less) handled. eh, i've had roommates that i didn't like before. Out of America, into Africa. Descriptions, rants, raves, contemplations, and (hopefully) epiphanies from a Peace Corps Uganda Volunteer. Sunday, July 1, 2007. Is it really summer there? I am still stuck in the belief that it is February in America, because that's when I left and I cannot imagine that time progresses undisturbed without me. That's just preposterous! But evidently it is now July, which I am especially aware of due to the fact that today, at long last, I am 23 years old! I couldn't tell&#46...

http://brettbrett.blogspot.com/2008/12/lovely-lamu.html

Out of America, into Africa. Descriptions, rants, raves, contemplations, and (hopefully) epiphanies from a Peace Corps Uganda Volunteer. Saturday, December 27, 2008. The second week of December I took an amazing little vacation to Kenya. The goal: Lamu, a beautiful Swahili island about 7 hours (by bus) North of Mombasa. Gorgeous and amazing. Yes, the water actually is this color. And it's warm! And yes, it is December! On Lamu donkeys are the main mode of transport and transporting goods around the island.

Out of America, into Africa. Descriptions, rants, raves, contemplations, and (hopefully) epiphanies from a Peace Corps Uganda Volunteer. Friday, February 23, 2007. 3, 2, 1.Uganda! So, guess who's going to Africa in one week? Thaaaat's right, youuu guessed it. It's me! A decade or two ago the AIDS virus was at 30% of the population. Yet after a number of projects and reforms it is today down to under 10%. That's a big drop. So Uganda is doing something right. I will probably not have running water. I will...
