Listen Don't Panic: January 2010
http://listendontpanic.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, 30 January 2010. Interview with Murray Macleod (The Xcerts). They've got an honesty and a vulnerability without being introverted or. emo. It's pretty much gutsy, loud pop about, y'know, life stuff. Thinking things. Heavy and light in all the right places, beefy enough for Kerrang! But soft enough for, well, a lot of girls to go to their gigs. Cool girls, though. Obviously ;). Anyway, if you've not heard them yet - it's OK, I won't judge you – now's your time for redemption. What influences you...

Listen Don't Panic: February 2010
http://listendontpanic.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Monday, 8 February 2010. Twin Atlantic / Lightguides. First draft of this involved me comparing Lightguides to jelly and Twin Atlantic to ice cream. Basically, they’re both awesome. Really really really really really awesome. Let’s just leave it at that for now. Here are some photos from The Best Gig Of The Year So Far, and the one the day after. More photos on my Flickr photostream. Friday, 5 February 2010. Some things to listen to. Lionschase.tigers - To Their Blood EP. Because it's funny, OK?

Listen Don't Panic: The Boxer Rebellion
http://listendontpanic.blogspot.com/2011/02/boxer-rebellion.html
Sunday, 6 February 2011. I find the hardest bands to describe are the ones I've listened to the most. The ones who have become such a permanent fixture in my mind that squatters' rights come in to play, and they actually own that wee part of my mind. So yeah, I'm not going to describe them. LOOK, 2 FREE MP3S! Oh, and they're playing Cabaret Voltaire on March 3rd. You will see few bands more impeccable live. And if you're a guitar nerd, Todd's pedals and stuff will drive you wild. 2 March 2011 at 23:16.

Listen Don't Panic: November 2011
http://listendontpanic.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Monday, 7 November 2011. I have a love/hate relationship the same as most sensible human beings with The X Factor and related programmes. The UK X Factor this year is particularly terrible. I don't even want to get started on what a talentless bunch of rubbish the finalists are. It's excruciating. The only possible reason left for watching is for conversation fodder. This is Drew. She's fourteen. Whaaaaaat. This is Stereo Hogzz. They make The Risk look like an embarrassing accident. This dude is SIXTY.

Listen Don't Panic: Mumford & Sons live
http://listendontpanic.blogspot.com/2011/01/mumford-sons-live.html
Wednesday, 26 January 2011. Mumford and Sons live. I hated Mumford before I saw them live. The flipping banjo all over their album made me want to throw things. But they're so so so so so ridiculously good live that I've become completely accustomed to the banjo, and embrace them on record now too. This live concert on the Baeble website is awesome. Watch it. (Yes, the 'full' video is an hour-long set. AMAZING.). Watch the full video at Baeblemusic.com. 26 January 2011 at 15:42. UK Gigs and Festivals.

Listen Don't Panic: July 2010
http://listendontpanic.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Friday, 16 July 2010. Jack Antonoff is in Fun. Jack Antonoff is in Steel Train. This makes me automatically very open to what Steel Train do. Even if I wasn't though, I reckon their new album 'Steel Train' would have won me over equally quickly. Anyway, that's all not entirely important. What's important is the music, how awesome it is, and why you should listen. They put the whole of the album up to stream a few weeks ago - for free - at www.steeltrain.net. Steel Train may not be a new band, but they're...

Listen Don't Panic: May 2010
http://listendontpanic.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Monday, 31 May 2010. Took me on a wee adventure:. Monday, 24 May 2010. It's half past ten on a Saturday night and I'm sitting outside with Nate Ruess from Fun. They've just played their first ever Scottish show, in front of a sizeable crowd in the Art School as part of Stag and Dagger. Their infectious and extravagant pop sounds less polished live, but their energy and presence creates something equally captivating. How would you describe Fun? Why did you decide on the name, Fun? Nate: Because ice cream ...

Listen Don't Panic: January 2011
http://listendontpanic.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 26 January 2011. Almost every other band in Baeble's giant concert catalogue looks stupid compared to Mumford and Sons (see previous post), but The Veils. they hold their own. Watch the full video at Baeblemusic.com. Mumford and Sons live. I hated Mumford before I saw them live. The flipping banjo all over their album made me want to throw things.
