A weekly review of wines across the world that offer excellent value to enthusiasts and novices alike. Thursday, February 25, 2010. Whoa My fisrt big commercial tasting event as part of "the industry" and I have to say I was unimpressed on many levels. Firstly, a lot of the wine sucked and sucked in the same way. Meaning the wine was uniformally bad for similar reasons and was remarkably homogenous in nature. Despite all my apparent negativity there were some good moments and wines at the event. The ...

A weekly review of wines across the world that offer excellent value to enthusiasts and novices alike. Wednesday, June 3, 2009. Like last week, I ventured into the Trader Joes down the street from my humble abode in search of a summer white wine priced to kill. This time my eyes settled in on a 2007 Vouvray by LeChetau that checked in at $5.99 made from 100% Chenin Blanc. Being a fan of the varietal I was hoping to find a good value and I was not disappointed. Posted by The Blogger. Good wine under $20.
