Slitter Man: May 2012
http://slitter-rewinder.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Personal blog of a Slitter salesman. Monday, 28 May 2012. This is potentially an interesting idea, I've created a 'Slitter Clinic' on the Linked In website. The idea behind the slitter clinic is that slitter owners, managers and operators can drop by and ask advice in an environment that isn't commercially orientated. I don't know if this idea has legs, but if you don't try you never find out! Visit the slitter clinic - http:/ t.co/Pj3Lfwi6. Thursday, 24 May 2012. Slitter fixes, I love days like this!

http://slitter-rewinder.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Personal blog of a Slitter salesman. Tuesday, 14 August 2012. Terminology can be bewildering; part of the problem being that there's no industry standards for the terms used when describing various parts of the slitter and winding process. I've talked about this before. So won't focus on it now, instead I'll ask you to point your clicks at this Slitter Glossary. Instead I'm going to look at how we describe some of the more complex issues surrounding slitting and rewinding. Reversible running salvage slit...

Slitter Man: Cut to length
http://slitter-rewinder.blogspot.com/2013/06/cut-to-length.html
Personal blog of a Slitter salesman. Monday, 24 June 2013. Recently I sold a small used slitter to a company with a very simple product process - they buy in big rolls of material and then use a slitter to cut to length. Unlike most of the cutting machines we sell this customer didn't need a machine that could slit rolls of material down into narrower rolls; all they needed to do was to load a master / parent roll and cut it to length. Cut to length machines. Labels: cut to length.

Slitter Man: What is slitting?
http://slitter-rewinder.blogspot.com/2013/06/what-is-slitting.html
Personal blog of a Slitter salesman. Tuesday, 18 June 2013. Let's get back to basics - what is slitting? But what does it mean? If I was pushed to condense the meaning of 'slitting' into a single sentence (which I guess is the very point of this blog post) then I would have to say:. Slitting is the process of making a slit (cut).". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The views given on this site are my own, and do not represent my employer in any way. This is my personal.

Slitter Man: July 2012
http://slitter-rewinder.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Personal blog of a Slitter salesman. Friday, 20 July 2012. We've snuck out two new slitters! Over the past few weeks we've gently introduced two new slitter rewinders into our range. We've not (yet) made a huge fanfare to announce these machines but we have been drip-feeding information out through tweets and some adverts and articles in the press. We haven't been focussing the press adverts on these new slitters, but we have been including images of the new machines on said adverts. Friday, 6 July 2012.
