bless her little cotton socks: December 2010
http://blessherlittlecottonsocks.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Bless her little cotton socks. Friday, 31 December 2010. My blog profile refers to our grown up family "feathering their own nests" but it occurs to me that I'm also building a nest. I call it my eyrie and it's under the roof in one of our attic rooms. Since I'm past the egg-laying stage what I'm. To hatch there are ideas: creative ideas to enrich my life. The empty-nester has transformed into the nest-builder. An actual eyrie I photographed in Ontario, Canada). Tuesday, 28 December 2010.

bless her little cotton socks: Memories are made of this
http://blessherlittlecottonsocks.blogspot.com/2010/12/memories-are-made-of-this.html
Bless her little cotton socks. Tuesday, 28 December 2010. Memories are made of this. This Nativity hadn't seen the light of day for 25 years, since the Christmas that a proud little girl, aged 5, brought it home for her (even prouder) parents. It is one of the many treasures that I dug out of the blue metal trunk holding all our family photographs and anything of sentimental value from the last 50 years. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). bless her little cotton socks: Meet the family
http://blessherlittlecottonsocks.blogspot.com/2010/07/meet-family.html
Bless her little cotton socks. Friday, 2 July 2010. Each one has a name and a story. There's Trevor, Stuart, Eric, Jude, Brian, Fred, Rosie, Tennis-Ted, the Purple Pair, Jelly Babes and Elvis. They're not a collection - heaven forbid - and I'm only sentimental about one or two. They have just appeared over the years. I know people who love to collect hedgehogs, owls, thimbles, coins, stamps, allsorts - and I've attempted to collect old glass in the past and enjoyed researching about it. But BEARS?

bless her little cotton socks: January 2011
http://blessherlittlecottonsocks.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Bless her little cotton socks. Sunday, 2 January 2011. I've enjoyed this Radio 4 programme for years. Apparently it's been broadcast since 1942 with Roy Plomley. As host until his death in 1985. Everything about it - the signature tune By the Sleepy Lagoon. The mandatory reference to Roy, the format, and the politely-probing questions of Kirsty Young - is so reassuringly familiar and yet the selection of music, like the guest each week, is different and diverse. I obviously need to lighten up. And the fi...
