Aamon kii taariif me.n. Apanaa ahavaal-e-dil-e-zaar kahuu.N. Arz-e-niyaaz-e-ishq ke qaabil nahii.n rahaa. Baaziichaa-e-atfaal hai duniyaa mere aage. Bahut sahii Gam-e-getii sharaab kam kyaa hai. Be-aitadaaliyo.n se subuk sab me.n ham hue. Bas ki dushvaar hai har kaam ka aasaa.N honaa. Chaahiye achchho.n ko jitanaa chaahiye.

Born in 1909 in Rudauli in the Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh, Majaz's real name was Asrar ul Haq. He considered Fani Badayuni as his 'ustad'. His poetry works consist of the following compilations - Shab-e-taab, Aahang, Saaz-e-nau. Majaz passed away on 5th December 1955 in Lucknow. Barbaad tamannaa pe ataab aur zyaadaa. Dil-e-Khuu.N gashtaa-e-jafaa pe kahii.n. Husn ko be-hijaab honaa thaa. Husn phir fitnaagaar hai kyaa kahiye. Izn-e-Khiraam lete huye aasamaa.N se ham. Maintained by Nita Awatramani.
