The Eggman Studios Notebook: Busy Bee
http://eggmanstudios.blogspot.com/2013/08/busy-bee.html
Wednesday, August 21, 2013. The tiny paintings are now live. I'm pleased as pie with how they all look together, quirky little things that they are. The bumble bee piece ("Escaped") just sold, but there are plenty of others waiting for new homes to fly off to! The sun is shining, I have a coffee date with a good pal, and have been making good progress on yet more paintings. Feeling both inspired and productive, which is always a hard combo to achieve. Hope your week is going well! Posted by Eggman Studios.

Green Knight's Quest

Below are the 4 most recent journal entries recorded in the " The Green Knight. January 15th, 2016. Book of the Wombat 2015. This is a collection of journal pages as posted on her livejournal, with some additional photos and a little linking text. They're also a good reminder what I want to achieve with my own art - the ability to chronicle things, to jot down ideas, to capture moments and some of the stranger visual ideas that every now and again turn up in my brain. Where it has gathered. However, I am...

Green Knight's Quest
http://green-knight.livejournal.com/tag/art
Below are the 8 most recent journal entries recorded in the " The Green Knight. July 28th, 2015. I sketched the tower of Pisa (from my own photograph). It looks like the tower of Pisa. Earlier today, I sketched a tree. it looked like a tree. Now I am well aware that everything I sketch at the moment is pretty crude art, and that there's plenty of room for improvement, and plenty of need for improvement, but in a way I don't care: I am sketching things that noticeably look like themselves. Bilingual love ...

The Eggman Studios Notebook: August 2012
http://eggmanstudios.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 10, 2012. Art Journal Part IV: Ice World. Some day, I'd really like to visit Antarctica (preferably to do research). I realized a month or two ago that my "list of places I most want to see" is dominated by cold-climate locales. Antarctica, Iceland, Northern Canada, Ireland, the Netherlands. Then again, my closet is also dominated by sweaters and coats (I don't even own a pair of shorts). Guess that says a lot. Posted by Eggman Studios. Wednesday, August 08, 2012. New in the shop. Each pac...

Very Rarely Stable: The Kiwi bloke is an environmental hazard
http://veryrarelystable.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-kiwi-bloke-is-environmental-hazard.html
My name is Daniel Copeland. Immanuel Kant was a real. I like quirky humour, Im incurably philosophical, and I hail from the Antipodes (New Zealand rather than Australia, but still). For my living, I take notes in lectures at the University of Otago on behalf of students with disabilities. Wednesday, 15 July 2015. The Kiwi bloke is an environmental hazard. Recently, we found out that New Zealand is a world front-runner in climate change denial. Im not going to rehearse all the evidence that human...

We raided again last night. And despite all attempts to mess things up, we were actually successful. Four bosses in 3 hours, with several breaks to replace people, long-winded explanations of things which happened quite differently – not a bad record. Once it was all over (all too quickly, if you ask me), we sat back and looked at what we did / had. And one thing dawned on me. Things get easier – no surprise, considering how things scale with equipment. Assuming the higher gear is on a tank, chances are ...

spiral bound: Sparks Flew As Their Shovels Met for the First Time - the art of Rick Allen
http://moonsnails.blogspot.com/2011/12/sparks-flew-as-their-shovels-met-for.html
Monday, December 19, 2011. Sparks Flew As Their Shovels Met for the First Time - the art of Rick Allen. This charming Christmasy corvid mugshot is the work of Rick Allen. Which he runs with his partner Marian Lansky. So lovely! These are just the seasonally appropriate jems*, check out their whole. That is a spelling mistake. Obviously I meant gems. But the fact that I made such an outrageous error makes me laugh so I'm leaving it in. Truly. What is this " Trapper's Daughter. And where do I find it?

spiral bound: Nicole Gustafsson, kindred spirit
http://moonsnails.blogspot.com/2011/09/nicole-gustafsson-kindred-spirit.html
Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Nicole Gustafsson, kindred spirit. I came upon Ms Gustafsson's work at just the right time, I think. Summer has not yet given up the ghost but Autumn is on the verge of charging in with gusts of wind, ripe squash, and the yearly explosion of copper and crimson tree-tops. Not all of Nicole's work is autumnal but a lot seems to fit in with this, the best of all seasons. All's Well at the Schoolhouse. Hare House (in the rain! Oh, the colours! Mountain of a Molehill. Can you be...
