On Baehner | Never Be Famous
https://pretentiouslypreternatural.wordpress.com/2013/05/13/on-baehner
Recure what Pride Obscures. I don’t remember most of my dreams. I remembered this one from the moment I woke up as vividly (if not as achingly) as I do now. Here are some dumb words about it that proved to be insufficient catharsis. A dream caught my breath. Gave it back and then some. Knocked me over then and there. Siphoned tears from dull pupils. Her name is unfamiliar to me in this context. Where she pulls my shame onto her shoulder. Knowing me and responding to every word I speak. Date : May 13, 2013.

Well, I should be honest: I was reading a blog penned by an older English lady back in 2003 in which she reviewed Sayers’ Wimsey mysteries. She (the blogger, I mean) was working on her dissertation, and she would often pause to write these really critically-constructed reviews of the mysteries’ characters and genre. As a bonus [1]. As I thought more about ludic. I gradually bega...

Recure what Pride Obscures. Here’s a Thing That Happened. For my birthday last year my mom scoured bookstores for a rare-ish Nero Wolfe novel I had been wanting to read. While unsuccessful as of my 26th, she nevertheless persisted and eventually persuaded a small bookstore proprietor (the store was small, the proprietor average) to order a used copy of it, which she then surprised me with a few weeks later. And yes, since you’re dying to know: it made me cry. Comments : Leave a Comment.

Sorry, grandma, but I guess you get a “funny” Easter card about poop or sex this year. Lots of those left for some reason. Happy Easter, everybody! Laquo; Never Overnight.
