Sunday, June 6, 2010. Venezuela - Day 2. We head to Buenas Nuevas del Este (the Good News Church) that sponsors the home. It is a mini- North Point Church, even down to the 10 Before! It was such an amazing experience to hear “When Life Hurts” from a different speaker and sing “Mighty to Save” in English alongside our Spanish singers. The church seats 4000 each Sunday in 4 services. We were very impressed with our surroundings. Please click on the pictures to see a larger version and slide show.

Thursday, June 10, 2010. Venezuela - Day 5 and Day 6. Day six: Promotion Day for our muchachos! Our "official" soccer match has yet to be played. Despite the earlier description of a "trouncing" by Laurel, the beach game was merely a warm-up! We are confident of our victory over the Venezuelan team.(gulp). More posts to come on Saturday! Mission to Venezuela 2010. Our mission team of 12 will travel to Barquisimeto, Venezuela in South America on June 26 through July 4. Our original mission was to assist Good News Church (Las Buenas Nuevas Del Este) with the construction of a new church. Recent political changes have delayed the project so we are now tasked with renovations at Proyecto Jonas which is a home for boys. Check out each day updated with pictures from the day. Thursday, 3 December 2009. The final task in the module was to present our work to staff from the Langdon Museum of Power. After a group meeting, we decided to divide our presentation into sections and each group member would be able to talk about the subject they were most comfortable with. We then met again before the final presentation to rehearse. When presenting, we showed in the background a shot of the model rotating without textures as well as various images of the engine in its environment.
