An important thing to consider, if you are trying to lose or maintain a weight, is that empty calories are some of your worst enemies. Empty Calories are calories with no nutritional content – i.e. white bread, french fries, white rice, etc. All of these foods have high caloric content, with almost no nutritional value. Fiber is an important component of a good diet. Aside from helping to improve digestive health and decreasing the risk of certain diseases, such as colon cancer and diabetes, eating fiber can aide in weight loss. Fiber rich foods are generally more filling than foods less fiber. So you’ll be less hungry for longer after eating foods with high fiber content. Avocados are amazing. They are creamy and tasty, and are so good as guacamole. But many of you probably rule them out of your diet because of their high fat and caloric content. But it turns out that their benefits outweigh this disadvantage. For starters, the fats in avocados are monounsaturated fats; a.k.a. the GOOD kind of fat. 1 C Barley Flour. 1 tsp baking powder. 2 C carrot and apple, grated. 1/3 C oil or water. 2 Tbs orange juice concentrate or the juice of one orange. Mix dry ingredients together. In a separate bowl, mash tofu well. Add carrot, apple, and remaining wet ingredients. Mix well. Add dry ingredients to the wet and blend until moist. Mmmmm disse Muffins kan varieres i det uendelige. :) Og er fantastiske som små mellemmåltider, eller supplement ttil en lækker suppe, eller som en lækker treat i madpakken.
