The mirror tool was then used to create the left hand side profile. The sweep modifier was then applied and used to expand the spline line to create the back of the book. Thursday, 27 October 2011.

Virtual Environments: Making a face material
http://virtualenvironmnetsanna.blogspot.com/2011/10/making-face-material.html
Thursday, 20 October 2011. Making a face material. I opened the 2D picture in photoshop and created a new layer calling it GUIDE. Then, I chose a blue colour and going to EDIT-FILL made sure it is foreground colour, so it made the screen blue. I copied the black and white picture and going to Guide layer and pasted it in quick mask mode and it turned pink. So, I clicked on edit in standart mode and the lines of the face appeared on the blue screen. My 3Ds max showed that:. View my complete profile.

Virtual Environments: Photoshop result
http://virtualenvironmnetsanna.blogspot.com/2011/10/photoshop-result.html
Thursday, 20 October 2011. When I finished making my face material the picture looked like that:. But when I applied it to the 3DS max it looked really ugly, the hear was totally wrong and the face was not that good so, I had to changeit again checking it in the program sometimes. Finally I finished with the picture which looks like that:. This was much better looking when I opened it in 3Ds max, clicking M and selecting it as a bitmap material.
