Ryan bought Lisa her own fishing pole this year, but since it wasn't producing the desired results, she was content using this stick. Lyra was making me nervous being that close to so much water. Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Since Ryan had rehearsal all day Sunday, the girls and I decided to spend the day playing. Roller skating and Pizza sounded a lot more fun than staying in the apartment all day. I knew that it might be a challenge taking two inexperienced skaters to a skating rink, but decided it was worth a shot. I got a great work out! Get BACK here, mom! They were all out of the plastic, over the shoes skates,. So Lyra ended up with a few sizes too big. January 9, 2013 at 12:18 PM.

Friday, September 16, 2011. Lyra, the zany 2 year old! Oh me, Oh my" (from One fish Two Fish). She is also learning to call her sister Lisa (which comes out as ee-sha) instead of Ya-Ya (which is actually so cute that we often end up just calling Lisa that anyway). Tuesday, December 25, 2012. Wow, has it really been six months since my last blog post? Lisa has been asking to sleep under the Christmas tree for days now and we finally relented, once Lyra had fallen asleep. Ryan just set up the projector we are borrowing in our bedroom so we can watch a movie from our bed. Fun! So glad you had a nice Christmas! We missed you. Monday, January 28, 2013. Being there two days reminded me just how much I wish we lived closer so we could hang out more. The drive actually wasn't too bad. We were all amused that the most challenging part was getting up their driveway! Good thing Kevin and his dad were there to use a truck and pull my car up the slippery snow. Hopefully we will get to hang out again soon. Just caught back up on your blog. Last time I saw you and girls Lyra was 4 months old! Ryan doing rehearsals for a play?

Monday, August 29, 2011. Backpacking Alpine and Sawtooth Lakes. View of Stanley off in the far right corner. Still lots of snow when you get up above 8000 feet. First view of Sawtooth Lake behind me. Can you spot the crazy, fearless squirrel? While Ryan was fishing he looked over at me and informed me that the crazy squirrel was right behind my head so I snapped a picture hoping to catch it in the frame. I was not as brave as Ryan to jump in to a lake with snow melting directly into it. Love this guy :).

Thursday, June 28, 2012. So glad Rivercrest Apartments has a pool! We go almost every day. It has been fun to see how fearless Lyra is with her arm floaties. (Or as she would put it, arm "ploaties") Lisa learned to swim a couple summers ago when we first moved here and is usually very confident in the water. They both already have that swimsuit tan line that seems to appear no matter how much sunscreen you lather on their bodies. Cute little fishies. Looks kinda cold, huh? And, of course, Cherry Pie!
