As you can imagine, the canyons are very popular with motorcyclists. We stopped by a famous biker stop called "the Rock store", which had about 50 motorcyclists. Apparently, it has been a hot spot for bikers for years - dating back to the 60s(not sure, don't quote me). It was pretty cool rollin up to a 1500cc monster motorcycle on my 250cc Vespa! Day 22 - Traveling to Vegas. 路程：Kanab, Utah - US-15 - Las Vegas, Nevada. 里程：205 miles (330 km). 今天經歷了人生最漫長的200里啊（320 km），真的是旅程有史以來最痛苦的一天! 我們決定走高速公路前往今天的目標：拉斯維加斯。一方面因爲不知道其他更好的路，另一方面我們也想以最短的方式穿越沙漠。剛開始的70 miles 還好，溫度大約90F (32C), 彎曲的沙漠山路讓我感覺好像在火焰山穿梭。直到上了 US-15 我們才面臨到嚴酷的考驗，在通過幾個山洞后，我們突然感到四周的溫度直綫上升。我們原來進入了 Mojabi Desert。在這種熱度之下連吹風都是痛苦的。本想把腳伸到機車外感受一些風，沒想到風打在腳上居然像被強力熱風吹風機吹到，不但燙到受不了還會痛！試了一次我就不敢了，乖乖把手腳藏在擋風板後面…. Day 25 - Las Vegas to Final Destination - LA! 路程：　Las Vegas, NV – Manhattan Beach, CA. 里程：　300 miles (482 km). 雖然嘴巴上說想趕快到達終點，好來證明我們可以征服這個旅程一般，但是心裏知道要結束這段旅途還是真的會依依不捨。以拉斯維加斯到洛杉磯的距離其實只有300 miles (480 km) 左右，所以我很明白當我們離開拉斯維加斯的那一天就應該會是我們旅途的最後一天。這可以也是我拖延了兩天遲遲不願意離開拉斯維加斯的旅程吧。我們接受了很多騎友的建議，最後決定淩晨 4 點離開拉斯維加斯。理由很簡單，因爲我們要躲避炎熱的沙漠（記得我被沙漠的太陽整死的慘痛經驗嗎? 65289;，更何況我們要橫越的沙漠 Mojave and Death Valley 大概是北美最熱的兩個沙漠，我們不想再承受那種炙熱的煎熬。另外我們也想避開巔峰時間的車輛，因爲畢竟拉斯維加斯到洛杉磯算是車流量非常大的路段，我們不得不考慮安全。終于，我們到達了目的地的 Manhattan Beach, Los Angeles&...

Day 21 - Grand Canyon National Park. 路程： Kanab, Utah - Grand Canyon National Park (North Rim), Arizona - Kanab, Utah. 大峽谷分成 North Rim and South Rim。大部分的遊客都去 South Rim 因爲那邊景點比較多而且旅社和商家也比較豐富。但是我們因爲比較接近北邊，而且聽説北邊的風景也一樣好所以我們決定到比較寧靜的北邊。從北部參觀有一個比較大的缺點就是因爲附近的小鎮非常少，所以我們唯一可以找到價格比較合理的旅社就是 Kanab, 離北邊入口就有 80 miles。所以光是從旅社到入口我們就騎了幾個小時。不過沿途的風景一樣那麽的迷人，讓我們忘記旅途的遙遠。我們本來預想比較平坦的平原，但是沒想到除了大約 15 miles 的沙漠以外我們基本上都在爬坡，從 4000 ft 又爬到 8800 ft。聼着PX 痛苦的呻吟，真的辛苦了！ Grand Caynon National Park North Rim 入口. 2004 Vespa PX 200. Day 20 - Zion National Park. 路途： Hatch, Utah - US 89 - Zion National Park - Kanab, Utah. 里程： 120 miles. Grand Staircase （大階梯）的第二部曲是 Zion National Park。爲什麽叫大階梯，因爲當時的地殼變動是產生了一層一層不同高度的地層，而Bryce Canyon 是北方最高層，然後最南邊的地層便是眾所皆知的 Grand Canyon(大峽谷)。 Zion 也是非常美麗的公園。不像 Bryce的石柱給人感覺纖細和精致，Zion給人的感覺就是愛麗絲進入了岩石魔幻王國。我們被360度一層一層又一座一座的大岩石夾在其中，你只有感覺自己的渺小再渺小。有些岩石也因爲其侵蝕形成為有趣的形狀，因爲我很愛吃所以很多都被我看成食物的形狀。就如有一座岩石長得就像 whipped cream (咖啡上的奶油)…. 逛完了所有景點之後我們就出發到今晚的住宿，Kanab。明天我們就要參觀這個旅途最後一個公園，也是期待已久的大峽谷！進入 Zion National Park (東門). Day 23 - Vegas rehabilitation. 今天留在拉斯維加斯療傷. 調養昨天被沙漠嚇倒的創傷。拉斯維加斯真的是老少咸宜的城市。雖然他以賭城有名，而且的確從早到晚24小時都可以賭，但是對於向我這樣不相信賭博的人也有許多有趣的消遣。比如光是參觀這裡的旅館的設計和冠冕堂皇都可以讓人花上許多時間。每家飯店爲了吸引房客都別出心裁的設計出自己的獨特風味，規模也大到讓人遭嘆不已。拉斯維加斯更是女人的天堂。不止商店多，逛街容易，更有許多裝潢華麗討人喜歡的餐廳咖啡廳，可以隨時讓人享受富麗堂皇的淑女生活。穿梭的人們也多半穿着比平常更嬌艷的衣裳，感覺真的有點不像現實社會。難怪很多人都說拉斯維加斯是沙漠裏的海市蜃樓！我們也到了一家最近在紐約出名的 Serendipity3 餐廳用餐。他們流行的俏皮設計正是許多妙齡辣妹會喜歡的裝潢。另外食物可口，分量價格也都很合理。飽餐了一頓讓我暫時忘記還要穿越另外一邊的沙漠才能到達洛杉磯的恐懼. 這次的出發地是美東的 Vermont 州，目的地是美西的洛杉磯，加州。整個路程預定是4,000 miles (6,437 km)。第一階段：美東快速橫跨到美中西部（Vermont to South Dakota). 第二階段：開始真正的觀光和欣賞美國大自然的奇景 (South Dakota to Utah). 看時間而定，第三階段可能被省略。我們必須在7月底之前到達加州。目前看來整個行程預定3-4個星期。旅程還有太多未知數，再來只有考常識和判斷來決定了。今天晚上希望可以好好睡，準備明天上路。小黑的機車從一個星期前的黑色到鐵板原色，今天終于遍身為耀眼的紅色了。基於安全考量紅色比較顯眼，但是説穿了只是小黑偏好紅色罷了！但是爲了這個紅色可是耗費了小黑和父親整整兩個星期的時間。裝備2 – 服裝. 拿著我的新駕照我非常開心地到了機車裝配店去物色其他的裝備。畢竟是個將近7,000公里的旅程，機車更是肉包鉄的危險乘坐物，我們決定不要吝嗇于為自己購置保護裝備。 SHOEI Multitec Flip Helmet - Crystal White. 連小綿羊都沒有騎過的我，第一次接觸機車就毅然...
