How a 28 year old from the US views the world from South Korea. Thursday, August 13, 2009. My 10 Favorite Things About Living and Teaching in Korea. I'm two days away from leaving Korea. In two years of living here, I have developed deeply ambivalent feelings about both my experience here and the society itself. A couple days ago, I was re-reading The Prophet. And I was surprised to find a section that echoed my feelings about leaving Korea:. Nay, not without a wound in the spirit shall I leave this city.

How a 28 year old from the US views the world from South Korea. Sunday, August 31, 2008. This is my favorite theme, and one that I'm sure will recur often. Engrish! View from the Living Room. But I also picked it this morning because of how striking the view from our apartment is. I had to choke back the tears when I opened the blinds this morning. The entire south wall of our living room is glass, which should be great. Yet we're planning on covering it with a tapestry. Here's is the vie...I'll post soo...

How a 28 year old from the US views the world from South Korea. Sunday, November 30, 2008. Anyway, Friday was School Festival Day, and the classes were gearing up for it all week, and even the week before. Two of my favorite students dressed up as bride and groom to play emcee. The whole thing was a giant whirl of colors! Then, unfortunately, the batteries in my ...

A View from the Fire Escape

A View from the Fire Escape. Thursday, July 30, 2015. I know that I have been lax in writing. But this morning I shared a musing that came about during a interdenominational clergy meeting in Detroit. Here is what I wrote on my face book page:. In other words, what if we took the time to build a relationship with God's children?
