Thursday, August 23, 2007. I'd heard of students going into the SAM final with 85% and failing the final which is weighted at 50% of the final grade. I ended up dropping a whole letter grade but hey I made it. Assuming anesthesiology is going to go smooth I can't believe I will be doing surgeries in 6th! Links to this post. Wednesday, June 27, 2007. Chillin' in our back yard. Lethal dose 50: the amount of poison that under certain circumstances will cause toxic effects. Yup, I didn't expect it but I received a dose of LD50 from the first toxicology exam last week. I barely passed the pharmacology exam II. I must add however, that I kicked some gluteus maximus in small animal medicine, anesthesiology, and clinical pathology. Hey, I gotta look at the positive right about now! Our pharm professor (Dr. Shokry) is funny too:.

Tuesday, January 22, 2008. Grampa working on dinner! This semester we are taking Large Animal Medicine II (LAM II), Large Animal Surgery (LAS), Theriogenology, and Practice, Management and Jurisprudence (PMJ), and Introduction to Clinics II. Intro to clinics has us go through various rotations (emergency, clinic, surgery, ambulatory, etc) as an appetizer for clinicals stateside. Grammy and Grampa were over for a week. Wednesday, March 28, 2007. Three more weeks and 4th semester will come to a close. I'm trying my best in the hopes of jumping this 4th hurdle. Fifth semester will be more clinical based, meaning we will have some hands on experience. For now I just need to focus on successfully getting through 4th.
