LDN: HOT OR NOT. The decisive guide to London. Wednesday, 18 March 2009. HOT: Wahaca, 66 Chandos Place, Covent Garden WC2N 4HG. I was in dire straits - my last day in London was rapidly slipping away from me, the National Dining Rooms didn't serve afternoon tea until 3pm and I needed to be in Kensington Church Street for my haircut at 3:30. Circling around Trafalgar Square aimlessly, I suddenly had an inspired idea. Tranzie and Huy had both raved about Wahaca. Labels: restaurants and cafes. Subscribe LDN...

An irresistible impulse to eat and drink. Monday, 23 March 2015. Pork Pibil is one of our fail-safe dishes when we eat at Wahaca. No matter what we choose, you can guarantee this will be on the list! When I saw the recipe in Wahaca Mexican Food at Home. I couldn't wait to try it out, but alas the gods were against me - I needed to get hold of one vital ingredient; achiote* paste. MexGrocer. Came to the rescue via Santa, and in my Christmas stocking there it was (and boy could we smell it! Beer of the week.

Tuesday, 30 June 2015.

From chile to chocolate. Eating like a Mexican in London and further afield. MAP - Mexican Food in the UK. Thursday, 14 April 2011. There's nothing plain about vanilla. From baking cakes to making ice cream, it can add a subtle depth of flavour that we often take for granted. However, a lot has to be said for the Mexican variety which is reputed to have a stronger, smoother and richer flavour. There are plenty of shops online. Selling pods and paste, the latter of which I would strongly recommend, partic...

A potted account of Ross' life. Cycling Dad Nirvana Approaches. Last week Alex wanted to go for a bike ride so we had a play on the local pump track and some of the cheeky trails hidden away nearby. This was his first ride off the pavements so I was cautious but much fun was had. For the start of the ride it was me and Alex riding ahead with Vicky riding alongside Isla whilst she practised the hard bit of stopping and starting.
