I started the new year with Summer School which was a good way to get back into ballet (not that I’d taken much of a break). The 4 days that I attended consisted of Pilates, absolute beginner, beginner and even a beginner pointe class. Trying for 2-3 times a week, plus barre workout and ballet class dvd’s at home. Have almost got my splits through daily practice, One side is not quite there because I tore a muscle showing off my splits way back in my 20’s doing KungFu. I’m hoping it’ll be a bit easier, although the fact it’s probably full of ultra-flexible, ultra-good 10-13 year olds is a. Daunting (okay, a lot). I’m also not doing the class at City Studio anymore. November 24, 2016. December 1, 2016. I had a crazy stressful week last week, which meant I was sore ALL OVER! Like my legs were dying whenever I sat down. I then stretched for class on Thursday (bad move) and ended up injuring my hamstring. So that was quite painful!
