Walking A New Path

Walking A New Path. Sunday, August 16, 2015. This verse out of Isaiah 25 was in the reading this morning:. 8220;Surely this is our God;. In him, and he saved. This is the Lord. We trusted in him;. And be glad in his salvation.”. I thought about my experience this past week, and how it was so trust related. There were a lot of folks that I had to put my trust in, from the doctor on down to the nurse that took me out to the car to go home. My eye was in their hands. Her hands were in His the whole time.

Walking A New Path: Peace

http://www.walkinganewpath-pilgrim.blogspot.com/2015/08/peace.html

Walking A New Path. Saturday, August 1, 2015. A couple of the things I read this morning had to do with the concept of peace. My thoughts turned to times when, out to take some pictures, I stumbled upon a peaceful scene. I thought of the time in the early morning one fine day, I walked into the town of Mt. Dora, FL. It was early. It was still dark and the town had not yet awoken. As I walked and shot and walked some more, I came upon this little sign on a fence by the road, and I took the picture.

Walking A New Path: Change and Stability

http://www.walkinganewpath-pilgrim.blogspot.com/2015/08/change-and-stability.html

Walking A New Path. Friday, August 14, 2015. Heraclitus of Ephesus is supposed to have coined the saying that the only thing constant is change. Now I have been to Ephesus and can attest to the fact that that ancient city has surely changed since Heraclitus lived there. As I get older, all around me I see change. In people, in attitudes, in surroundings and even in myself. We live with it every day, in fact, seemingly in every minute of every day. I'm definitely not as spry as I used to be. God can be th...

Walking A New Path: December 2014

Walking A New Path. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. December 31, 2014. Our oldest grand son, Sawyer, who is 21 and will be graduating from college this May, our 18 year old grand daughter, Sydney, who is in her freshman year at Occidental College, our son Dwayne and daughter in law, Karen. On the other hand, we older folk, look forward to a quiet evening with friends, a hot shower, and flannel sheets to get between on cold nights. Quite the contrast, don't you think? It is kinda like our daughter in law, K...

Walking A New Path: August 2015

http://www.walkinganewpath-pilgrim.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html

Walking A New Path. Monday, August 31, 2015. A Blank Slate. What to Do? What do I do now? Here is my calendar for September 2015. What do I see? A total blank month stares back at me. A month with no appointments. A month with nothing to look forward to or to dread. Could it be a month of "One Day at a Time"? A series of days with no agenda, just waiting to see what God might put in my path. Days to be ready to serve but without knowing when or where or even how? But the open road had a detour sign on it.

Walking A New Path: One Simple Rule...

http://www.walkinganewpath-pilgrim.blogspot.com/2015/08/one-simple-rule.html

Walking A New Path. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Once upon a time, a well respected and successful CPA was interviewed by a leading business magazine. The inevitable question was posed by the interviewer as to the reason for his many successes and his sterling track record of achievements. Spurning a verbal reply, the accountant pulled open his middle desk drawer, to the inside of which was taped this one small card:. I remind my self each and every morning of this one simple rule", he said. This Man Could ...

Walking and Writing

In 2007, I started writing about journeys in which I followed previous walkers: drovers, writers, servants bearing laundry, my own father, among others. I'm fascinated by the paths and marks they've left behind them, both in the land and in memory. Walking is both a tool and a subject in my own writing; writing a way of being truly alive as I walk, and reliving each journey in words. Tuesday, December 4, 2012. How to write on a camel. Walking with animals Part 2. Fortunately we had opted for two camels b...

May 1, 2015. May 1, 2015. 8220;I can only meditate when I am walking. When I stop, I cease to think; my mind only works with my legs.” (Jean-Jacques Rousseau,. Today is Walpurgis Night. Walking Anew

Saturday, September 26, 2009. Posted by Donna Mae. Links to this post. Friday, September 11, 2009. In Remembrance (from Isaiah). He sent me to preach good news to the poor, heal the heartbroken . God sent me to announce the year of his grace— a celebration of God's destruction of our enemies—and to comfort all who mourn. To care for the needs of all who mourn. They'll start over on the ruined cities, take the rubble left behind and make it new. Posted by Donna Mae. Links to this post. BUT the message is ...
