One of the things I wish I had known when I brought my children home from Ethiopia is that speical events would be a major trigger for our kids for the first year they were home. A special event is something out of routine: any holiday or event or celebration that people get excited about or put time into preparing for or talk about ahead of time. Saturday, 29 September 2012. Yes I mentioned the "C" word and its only September! But as we are still on a very tight budget, I've been trying to think of ideas to save money this year. And, probably due to my Pinterest addiction, I've decided to try and make as many presents as I can this year! I've got LOTS of ideas and plans, and just need to stop procrastinating and get on with it! Thursday, 28 June 2012. The BLEEPING cat woke me up last night, crashing about in my Craft Room, I had to go and shoo the annoying feline out of there. I had just got warm and comfy back in bed, when I heard another crash, followed by a smashing noise! What had the BLEEPING thing done now? On investigation I found a sheepish looking cat stood in the middle of the smashed remains of my lastest Pinspired Creation. An upcycled vase. I hadn't even had chance to take a photo of it, before it was destroyed!
