Sunlit Grove on the Mountain: November 2013

http://walkingwithalicia.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html

The Adventures of Alicia! Friday, November 1, 2013. I have an addiction. As hard as it is to admit it's time to be honest with myself and those I love. I have been dealing with addiction for years now and it's only getting worse. I am completely addicted to helping people, as unhealthy and hard on me as it is sometimes. Because it feels so good. Yeah, the hard times are tough, but the good times are fantastic! Another mountain to conquer. Fall on the Trail. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sunlit Grove on the Mountain: September 2013

http://walkingwithalicia.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

The Adventures of Alicia! Friday, September 13, 2013. Actually there were 7! SEVEN BOYS in our band! Oh what a handful. I don't know what I would do if the Lord needed me to be a mom to 7 boys. On the one hand it would be a riot, on the other hand, I would go crazy! What did all that mean? It meant that we laid-over (didn't hike) on Friday and Saturday, we never left camp before 11 am, and we only hiked about 2.5 miles in a week! Walking home at the end of a long, crazy week. Monday, September 2, 2013.

Sunlit Grove on the Mountain: Say What?

http://walkingwithalicia.blogspot.com/2014/06/say-what.html

The Adventures of Alicia! Friday, June 13, 2014. Once upon a time, I had a mission companion that gave me one of the best gifts ever! She taught me the value of writing down the awesome things that other people say! For the last year or so, I've been more active with this and I love the flood of memories that each quote brings. Some are funny, some are inspiring and some just sound cool. So, for your enjoyment (or confusion) here are some of my favorite quotes. You do desperate really well! What better t...

http://walkingwithalicia.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html

The Adventures of Alicia! Tuesday, July 15, 2014. People are Always Worth it! As I've wrestled with this idea, something that a friend shared with me a while back continues to teach me. Charity has no expiration dates and should be the standard regardless of outcome. It's always worth it to get to know somebody new. Thank you to that friend who continues to teach me, though she is far away! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Everything I say is important! I can't remember it all! People are Always Worth it!

Sunlit Grove on the Mountain: February 2014

http://walkingwithalicia.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html

The Adventures of Alicia! Tuesday, February 4, 2014. I wish you could see yourself the way I see you, I really don't understand why you always ask why I like you, it seems so obvious to me.". And the weirdest thing: they look at me and see the same wonderful things, while I'm looking in the mirror and see immense inadequacy and failures. So, how can we know who we really are if there's no mirror to understand ourselves? In the book The Seven Paths. Just a FEW of the fantastic people I'm surrounded by!

Daryl Branscombe - Walking With A Limp

Welcome to WalkingWithALimp.com. This is not a book about sadness, although I cannot imagine a greater sadness than the one that struck me first with the death of my son Michael in 1995, and then with Anthony just 16-months later. They were great sons and they would not want me moping around now, any more than they wanted pity when they were very sick. They were stand-up guys. They tried to understand “why” just as I did. This is the book I believe they would want me to write. October 2, 2007.

walking with a limp

Walking with a limp. I like to read. A rather boring but necessary catch-up! Wow, it’s really been a while. The Boy was saying the other day that it’s been ages since I blogged, but it’s not because I don’t have anything to say, it’s just that I’ve been doing a lot of living recently and blogging falls by the wayside! After some begging and a lot of swaps, I am now off from the tuesday morning before the wedding (after a night shift) to the monday after we get back from the honeymoon. Success! Four jobs ...
