Follow Me on Twitter. Friend Me on Facebook. Saturday, August 25, 2012. Timberman 70.3 Race Report. I arrived in New Hampshire four days before race day and had plenty of time to relax on the beach with my nieces and nephews. There were many walks on the beach with my mom. It was great to swim in the Atlantic Ocean and hang out before the race. They love Muscle Milk). As we waited for transition to open I donned the wetsuit and got in the 72 degree water – it was so clear, and I could see the bottom.

December 31, 2008. Event and filled the entry before the declared cutoff date. The deadline was intended to allow sufficient time to order finisher awards and other supplies thereby ensuring that everyone received the correct size etc. Despite this, many runners wrote to express their frustration at having to commit to the event so far in advance – the deadline was just 2 weeks before race day! I read today that the Umstead 100. So as I look towards another year of running, where will I be headed? Was by...

A well traveled secret |
https://mrbimble.wordpress.com/2008/10/08/a-well-traveled-secret
A well traveled secret. From the ashes of a California fire, the Arkansas Traveler 100. The race web site described the route as predominantly dirt roads or 4 wheel drive tracks and that certainly conjured images of a Vermont 100 type course. The reality was much more rugged than that and if anyone offered to drive me a long the course (even in an ATV), I think I’d prefer to walk for safety’s sake! Finally, parked cars a long the road meant we really were at the end. I crossed the line with music bla...

Wasatch, ‘the best of times and the worst of times’. September 9, 2008. I survived the Wastach Front 100 and what an experience. I thought the course was probably the hardest but also the most spectacular trail run I’d ever done. Man, those views were amazing! Two AM and I slowly kicked into action before the 30 minute ride from the hotel to the start. We got there with an hour to spare – did I mention that my nerves were a little on edge? I ate and got out as quickly as I could, the time was around 1:30...

Have shoes, will travel |
https://mrbimble.wordpress.com/2008/10/03/have-shoes-will-travel
Have shoes, will travel. Ever since I didn’t finish Leadville my motivation to blog regularly has wained. There is only so much you can say about getting up and going for a run, then on a different day – describe how I got up and went for another run. But we’re now in Arkensas for the Traveller 100. My enthusiasm for ultra running had wained, but then came Wasatch. The buzz may not be quite the same, but I guess the journey isn’t yet over. Ultrarunning ER Doc: My First Wasatch 100
http://ultrailnaka.blogspot.com/2013/09/my-first-wasatch-100.html
It's hard to blog when I'd rather be running- far and long. Friday, September 13, 2013. My First Wasatch 100. Wasatch Front 100 Mile Endurance Run. Friday-Saturday 7-8 September 2012. Morning of Thursday, day before the race, I had to pack and prepare my drop bags. Being a point to point course I had never run before, it was complicated figuring out what to put where, and I ran out of time doing it. Threw everything into a small carry on suitcase and a knapsack. I took a local bus to the pre-race meeting.
