Trying to fit round squares into peg holes since 1971! Saturday, December 30, 2006. This is the creek where I was Baptized many years ago in rural Kentucky. It's not likely to be germane to you, but I just love how the picture turned out. I was on a country drive last Wednesday morning around 7:30am when I couldn't resist taking a quick snapshot. Me, Spring 1989. Me, December 26, 2006. A few more gray hairs, a few more pounds, but still that cutting edge fashion sense! Links to this post. In a recent con...

My Interpretation of the World Around Me in Metro Manila. Thursday, 2 May 2013. These are some shots I did through the window of a taxi in Manila one evening. Traffic was at a virtual standstill, and I was happy for it, as I had always found this particular avenue to be fascinating. It is even more so at night than during the day. These are both in the book Musings from Manila! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Musings from Manila: a Philippine Photo Odyssey. Coalition of the Thrilling.

A Steaming Pile of Cliches and Screaming Unlikelihoods. Wednesday, January 17, 2007. I do not like being ill,. I do not like taking pills,. I do not like Tylenol,. I do not like it, not at all. With a 5 year old in the house, I'm sick every other week, but this one hit me extra hard! There are so many things to talk about. My 30th birthday was great. I went snowtubing in this tiny town, the ride up there was so beautiful, and then out to dinner. I do not like being ill, I do not like taking pill.

A Steaming Pile of Cliches and Screaming Unlikelihoods. Monday, April 16, 2007. The other day Alkam. Suggested that I write down a few of my goals, saying that if I write them down, I am more likely to acheive them. 1) To get the job at that organization which I really really really really really really really really want (and deserve) because I am ready to make a difference. 2) To speak up more. 3) Stop being guarded most of the time. 5) Changing the fat in my arms to muscle.

A Steaming Pile of Cliches and Screaming Unlikelihoods. Sunday, August 05, 2007. I'm extremely lucky to have a lot of amazing people on my side. The force of good will prevail! The Anti-Christ was always a clone host, as were all industrialists, and the coming Biblical battle of good and evil will be scripted and fake as well, and likely only be telepathic theater at that. This is how the gods manage clone hosting: :. There are two "temples" at work here: : Good and evil. They don't even WANT people LOOK...

A Steaming Pile of Cliches and Screaming Unlikelihoods. Thursday, December 28, 2006. I am looking forward to turning over a new leaf. Life's movement has helped me out with that. Today I am 30. Saturday, December 16, 2006. So taking care of my niece has been interesting. Even though she isn't MY child, the elite club of mothers have let me in to their world. Since I have a perspective of temporary motherhood, I thought I would share some things I've learned. 2 When you love it, you will really love it.

A Steaming Pile of Cliches and Screaming Unlikelihoods. Wednesday, November 22, 2006. My niece is in Kindergarten. I went to her class and her daycare. I love it. The kids all get along, and when they fight, they get over it by the next day. They play games and have conversations about cookies, and finding words (actual and nonsensical) words that rhyme with Poopy. My question is, when do people become such asshats? My niece is in Kindergarten. I went to her class a.

A Steaming Pile of Cliches and Screaming Unlikelihoods. Saturday, July 28, 2007. Lately I've been surrounded by a lot of inspiration. Not just people who are inspiring simply because they are inherently good, but because they have found a shred of light in the darkest hour. Inspiration 2 is about adoption. First off I should say, I work and volunteer with the most amazing people on the planet. Just when I think they can't be kinder, they show me that there is always a way to be a better person. My life i...

Trying to fit round squares into peg holes since 1971! Wednesday, May 31, 2006. You did it again, Mayor Bloomberg. Posted by Michael Vernon at Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Links to this post. Wednesday, May 10, 2006. Last Night in Midtown Manhattan. I was walking around midtown. For the first time ever since I have lived in New York City, someone handed me a camera and asked me to take a photo. With a friendly, "of course! Please forgive the dangling participle.) The guy replied, "Brooklyn.".
