Monday, July 18, 2011. On the go in July. Early July and our much awaited cooking class at the Spirit House, Yandina had arrived. The surroundings are lush and tropical. The perfect setting for a wonderful Asian (Thai in part) cooking experience. It was a fully hands on lesson and then lots of eating.yum! Something else that kept me busy was preparation for a Textile Workshop at school. It was a very big day but the students had lots of fun. For now, take care. Monday, July 18, 2011. Wednesday, September 28, 2011. 2nd week of holidays.going too fast! We had beautiful weather at Rainbow and the boy's went out fishing. Lots of walking, wiggling toes in the sand, reading and sleeping. The later was interrupted a little when our two little boys arrived for a short stay. It was a wonderful surprise and we loved spending time with them, but, I'd forgotten how much energy is required to keep on your toes around a 2 year old. Finally able to launch our groomies.what are they? Happy sewing ,.

Monday, August 27, 2012. Got a chance to play with some fabric scraps this weekend. Mean't to start dyeing some white cotton drill that I had put aside for the purpose but somehow got side tracked. I did wash and iron the drill though, so I am one step closer to the dye pot. Making new fabric from strips of other beautiful commercial fabric is so much fun too. I had a pair of cushion inserts that had been sitting around looking sad.perfect! Hope you had a wonderful weekend too. Monday, August 27, 2012.

Friday, June 22, 2012. Long time no type! Just a quick one to show you these two gorgeous little free standing sculptures I am adding to my store. These mixed media creations are soooo cute (only 15 cm high) but full of character. They have leather ears, arms that move and each carry their own lunch. Monday, May 21, 2012. What happened to the last 4 months? Even Blogger.com has a new look! Catching up to this weekend.The long awaited cheesemaking course. A very full but satisfying 2 days. I did the course with my mum ( in pic) looking a little weary. The first day was so full we both slept like logs, the second day was easier and the lessons and hard work started to make sense. I found two really cute patterns for mushroom houses at The Little House By the Sea. Here is how my mushroom turned out. It's the perfect size for holding my pins.
